The grand chief

I don't think Albin is reacting to it simply because it is 'alien' after all, erf has got his swords, whips and chirps but Albin and Sophia hardly reacted to any of it.

Tupperwarez

I think what Albin senses from the electronics is the same 'alien' feeling he got from the wreck of Erf's shuttle. Just like how darkness is scary to most people, the total lack of Flow must seem like an ominous shadow through the eyes of a Flow-Seer like Albin. A sense of 'wrongness' that clings to it, hence him calling it a taint/curse. Even Bragge talks about some impending 'darkness', possibly referring to the 'unseen predator' Albin was talking about during the Feast arc. Unfortunately, it's a 50/50 crapshoot if Albin will sit down with Erf and properly consult him on the artefact or not.

The grand chief

I don't think its a random number/answer generator. After all, Albin can sense some weird voodoo energy from it.

Tupperwarez

Ladies, get you a man who lets you borrow his organic chainsaw so you can whoop a trash-talking werewolf fuckboy's ass.

Encendyo

I would wager it wasn't so much 'bootstrapping' a living tech interface as it was a secondary interface protocol. If you don't find the required circuits, build them. As far as the "high society crap", it never goes away, even during and after an Industrial Revolution. The tentacle/chainsword will probably let go after Irje calms down, and tells it to let go. That might be the painful part. Until then, it will stick around like the happy little attack puppyworm that it is! Btw, is Irje's toy purple? If so, that would just be icing on the cake.

Yoshiii311

Love is giving your lover worms to devour their ennemies.

BananaBobert

I love the "sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" vibes.

Maniac

This chapter was worth the wait. Also, IRJE GOT A CHAINSWORD!

Ian Moran

He called himself on being an overconfident idiot basically immediately after being teleported (last section of Ch 94). He also mentioned that he was specifically ordered to let Siavash be, and heavily implied that if it was up to Erf, Siavash would have been dead a while ago.

Nicolae

still worth it.

Bast

Thanks for the chapter! This screams like the "When two clash, [the sky dragon] will lead [the esca] to the fruit". I wonder if we'll see another telenapping before long

Bast

I would say no, at least not completely. After the fact, definitely. If we are going to hear about this, Erf can probably narrow his search / dataset to Siavash alone and all actions he did over the observed timespan. In the other direction, i.e. looking for a spy beforehand, he probably suspected him, but didn't expect the teleport artifact. ... In that sense, Erf would be at least guilty of hubris by knowingly walking into an enemy trap, now that I think about it

Vabenil

The climb to the 100th chapter feels like an exponential curve

Natthaporn Hongcharoen

I wonder if Erf knew Siavash was a spy from the beginning? If so this is 100% his fault for fucking up.

Separate post for Irje's glow up, because homegirl deserves it. Fantastic Durga/deva imagery. Some renditions of Kali have her wearing a belt of severed phalluses, so the dildo isn't technically out of place here, lol. Speaking of dildos, RIP Muramat's dignity, lmao. Recent chapters have been building up to the idea of a wermage bootstrapping a living tech interface, but this is considerably more direct than I expected. I imagine doing it this way has a very real risk of getting fucked up like Jargal did? Erf is going to be very interested in the telemetry/memory from that 'Lif-trimmer' once he detaches it. Anaise really needs to dial back that attitude. Irje's magic awakened, and she can apparently bootstrap a living tech interface. When they get home, Boss Yeva and her budding industrial base will be greeting them. That high society crap is going to get old fast.

Tupperwarez

YOOOO, a 'shard of jade'? We got pieces of circuit board up in here? LET'S GO BABY! I took a stab in the dark theory way back (in ScribbleHub comments?), that Bragge's artefact was some type of electronic doodad that acted like an RNG, and he was using it like a Magic 8-Ball toy to make decisions. That way, all his decisions were based on a source outside of Flow, and thus unpredictable by the Sight. This 'shard of jade' has got me HYPE, lmao
