This is a classy joint.

Actually 'things ghosts can do' might make a good sort of listicle feature, especially if you look at films like the Amityville Horror. The ghost in that can make other people's phones explode, can make lots of flies come to the window, can make you lock your cousin in a cupboard and not let her out, can make a man's penis not work, black gunk fall down the walls, dinner guests shout about GET TO THE WEEELLLL and claw at your basement wall.

I was unable to refrain from reading those in a little girl-old man ghost voice.

Sounds great. I need to get on your Smoke and Mirrors and Steven Seagal ASAP. Apologies for the fanboy faux-pas in suggesting something you've already written about! I hope SMSS makes appropriate reference to exchanges like:

Top suggestions. I've even had some Danny Dyer and Ross Kemp stuff stockpiled for years, thinking "that's sure to come in handy someday," like people do with canned food for the apocalypse. I love the Enfield Poltergeist, but I covered that in some length when I wrote about Ghostwatch for Smoke & Mirrors and Steven Seagal. Other wonky old ghost docs are definitely on the list though. I found a great one the other day where Margaret Rutherford visits haunted stately homes.

Hall of Fame for tv programmes involving crap celebs and unlikely topics. E.g. extreme fishing with Robson green, Danny dyer on ufos, anything involving Grant Mitchell

The Enfield poltergeist - the documentary made at the time is like an episode of brasseye. I might actually be fooled and it might actually be a joke. Definitely worth a look though.

This is a really great idea, thanks.

This is a request for something really personal, but if/when you're up for it, I think writing about your time as a caregiver and transitioning after that would be a really poignant topic. It's one not many people who aren't experiencing it know about, but it's one that many folks will be facing in the coming decades.
