Great British Bake-Off is so soothing, and I think a big part of that is that there's no cash prize, nobody's getting a half-million pounds, so everyone is so supportive of each other. I've never once thought someone was sad to see a competitor eliminated on Amazing Race, on the Baking Show, I buy it every time. My main comfort media lately has been Amanda the Jedi watching or reading bad horror and/or romance books/movies so I don't have to. I know so much about the After series now, despite never having heard of it three months ago. I would also call The Beekeeper my guilt pleasure movie of 2024 if I had one scrap of guilt over how much I liked The Beekeeper.

I started the first few episodes of Laid, and was really enjoying it so excited to keep going through it. For me I feel like I don't have a ton of shows I hard classify as comfort media. rather I feel like I have some comfort games I'll go back to. Like for some reason I really like for some reason I really like going back and replaying skyward sword when I'm in a bad headspace. For TV/movies specifically I do often find Mystery Science theater 3000 is something I'll throw on for a bit when I'm down. Long episodes I can either throw on in the background of focus in on entirely and help make me laugh.
