The most offensive thing about Sick Bag was knowing people had paid money to watch Craig Charles do stand-up. Disgusting! Spoilers again, but I will be revisiting this topic soon, in another, more video-ey medium.

Reading this reminded me of a magazine advert I saw years ago, for the VHS of Craig Charles stand up called Sick Bag. It doesn’t seem to have made it to DVD, but it is there on YouTube. I’ve never seen it, but what struck me about the magazine advert was the blurb: ‘Comic adventurer Craig Charles, a man never afraid to follow where fate takes him, presents this devastating expose of the world of extremely sick jokes. Bravely going where many have gone before, Craig's quickfire comedy shows little or no regard for the delicate sensibilities of delicate, sensible people. It's time to admit we're all sick! And the man bringing sick out of the closet and into the spotlight is Craig Charles in this celebration of the sickest(and funniest) jokes since the dawn of man. Craig bravely trawls the depths of humour in stomach churning detail and with hilarious disregard for decency. The one-liners are chucked up thick and fast. Sickbag is overflowing with the hot new material. You may be appalled, you may be shocked, you may find it hard to digest but if you have ever laughed at a sick joke, you will find the content of Craig Charles' Sickbag very, very funny’ I never saw it available to buy anywhere, but younger me was fascinated with just how far the sickest of sick jokes could be pushed. Especially by comic adventurer Craig Charles. I liked him in early Red Dwarf but nowadays I can’t stand the man, his real life persona is like Kryptonite to me, and that video blurb is obvious bollocks, but you have now reminded me of a 20+ year old curio, and there it is on YouTube.
