Regarding ricks erotica, the only issue I think that messes with the bit is when you both don’t know the quality of the story, and half the time the story can be too long or boring. I would suggest finding a story well before the podcast, and possibly copy/ pasting the text in a word doc so you can trim or edit it down yourself before sending it to rick
