As much of a bummer as it is, I understand! I loved interacting with the other fans but I’m happy to hear Patreon will have livestreams. Crossing my fingers Patreon will occasionally get a Saturday night one.

I deeply respect your decision. I am very thankful to have made several friends through those Saturday Night live streams. To me, that's what I love about you. It's more than just Dan Bell the creator. The entire Dan Bell community is great because we all have an appreciation for film, humor, podcasts, and are all pretty damn tolerant. Obviously, there are relationships to be built here, but Saturdays threw it altogether.

Totally respect your decision Dan. I think the Saturday lives is something you just had to do/experience to know it's not something you want to continue. I can concur with some of the others on here that there are just sooooo many people in the live streams. It not only makes it harder to keep tabs on what's happening, who's saying what, spammers, negative people, but like you said opens the door for drama. I enjoy your content no matter what, and have learned there's too much other important shit in life to worry about the small stuff. You do you boo, and we'll be here waiting for the next best thing. 😉❤️ - Steph

I enjoyed the Saturdays while they lasted but I understand and agree with you. I guess they served a purpose through covid. But yeah I fully support keeping live streams to the patreon and in terms of time and productivity personally I'd rather see your videos over a livestream. But can't wait to see what's coming next, and if you do, do a patreon exclusive Saturday it would be some much more positive and a better experience for You and Dillon, as well as the viewer.

Very sad to see the Saturday livestreams end. I so wish the old streams from the past couple of years were left up or at least made available just for patrons to revisit. Nothing for Dan to be embarrassed of IMO, I feel this is where we saw Dan’s personality shine; where I felt Dan was most real and down to earth. Whether bitching and ranting, which I love, or storytelling and exploring. Many will agree, it was like being there in the truck and hanging out. Saturdays with Dan and Dylan’s occasional appearance will be greatly missed. Been a fan since 2015 and I’ve looked forward to all content Dan’s provided us with ever since. Hoping for the best in the future.

I haven't watched this stream yet, but all I have to say is that you're the captain of the ship. If you feel that something that you do isn't working anymore or isn't giving you any satisfaction by doing it, then of course you need to ditch it and move on to something else. So no matter the reason you're doing the right thing for you. That's what's most important in the end. If you enjoy doing something, then others will enjoy it too - and naturally vice versa. Just do your thing as long as you're happy and proud about it! ♥️

Makes sense to me to change direction, I enjoyed them, especially the earlier ones, but it felt like the drama was kind of always lurking in the more recent ones and it was sucking the energy and fun out of them, it had to be draining to make. Focus your energy on making the content you are enthusiastic for.

I think it’s great. What used to work doesn’t anymore and it’s ok to change. Being more guarded isn’t a bad thing. There are always going to be the unhappy little trolls that not matter what, will twist anything you do or say. Do what is right for you and do what makes you happy. The true fans will always be around for that! ❤️

Again, appreciated the Livestreams over the past 2-3 years. It was a livestream that got me into the Patreon. But the elimination of the public livestream is definitely the way to close the door on the "old era". Got to keep doing what feels right to you.

Dan, thank you for this explanation. It makes more sense to me now. I just want you to know that many of us really do appreciate the livestreams. They don't have to be on Saturday night. Just whenever you feel like it. I think many of us like it because it is like riding along with a friend (s). It is intimate. So I would rather get one random livestream every 3 months on Patreon that does not make you feel so exposed to the crazies out there, than a public livestream every Saturday that leaves you so exposed. I will be honest, every time you met a "fan" on the street, I got nervous for you. Fortunately, they all seemed like very decent people. However, that is an incredible risk to take IMHO. And with all the drama surrounding your own personal Boomer-gate (you know who)---I think you are wise to limit your exposure. So, yeah, this makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing. Just, whenever you feel like it, throw us a livestream on Patreon and be yourself for us. We're your friends here. Take care.
