Dan, I don't think its an issue of whether spiritual forces are real or not, or whether they are at work in your apartment or not. The issue is: When you seek "it" out, "it" will seek you out. And some of those forces are extremely negative. So that's just a long way of me saying that I think you are wise to put that stuff aside. I also suspect that since "you know who" was deeply into this shit, that he drug some of his spiritual bullshit into your life also because of your association with him. Just an opinion.
