Some of it was still visible in the area I visited. But they go out of their way to remove landmarks. For example they peeled the letters that spell CENTRALIA off the sign. GPS seems to be partially jammed and that can be dangerous since you could end up on private property full of holes if you try to 'guess' where you are going. They were even petty enough to paint giant, racial slurs over a large stone that acted as a marker to 'poison' any footage taken.

If you’re in the area and looking for dumps- go to Winchester, VA. I grew up there and only moved away a couple years ago, and there were some horrible ones that were known for crimes and that in high school people would get rooms at to hook up.

You should hit up Centralia! There's nothing there anymore really but pretty fun despite... It was actually pretty damned scary when I visited. I was an idiot and thought maybe the locals had a tourist industry but it's the exact opposite. I was constantly afraid I was going to butt up against some crazy hillbilly's property and get ended. There's a lot of 'hostile energy' crackling in the air since they realllly don't like tourists from the looks of it.
