Kina Diaries: Breaks
🕑 Added 2016-10-04 19:31:40 +0000 UTC I'm currently lying on my deck and looking up at this. I'm starting to make more of an effort to take little breaks throughout the day. Just 5 or 10 minutes here and there, to look away from my computer screen, get outside, and just exist. It's helped slow down and not feel so frantic like there's always one million things to get done (which is kind of true, but they don't all have to happen RIGHT NOW). A quote someone recently shared with me: "Nature never hurries, yet all is accomplished." So give yourself a little break, treat yourself, your life is right now so take a moment to enjoy it!

Thanks Kina for reminding us that no matter where we are (even when living in a concrete jungle) you can always look up to take a break with nature. Amazing, awesome job by everyone involved in 'Single by 30'. Nobody left anything on the table; it's all there in every video frame. Sure, it's a rom-com formula we've seen a million times. But that's why we watch them, because it's a great formula, one that makes everyone work hard to create something fresh and interesting. 'Single by 30' had me from the teaser: The on-screen chemistry made 'acting' seem unnecessary. Every quirky character had a big slice of reality, like I've know people like that. The technical aspects were way above anything I'd ever expect to see from "YouTubers", proving everyone involved was *way* more than ready to step up to a full commercial production. Kina, you've created great music and you've carried the lead role in a delightful series. What's next? Can't wait to see. Whatever it is, just go for it. Yeah, and I still love the Digg Song. A quirky funny song that was the right thing done the right way, at the right time and in the right place. Genius. No matter what else you do, please always keep a place open for sweet, smart comedy.

I activated my YouTube Red this evening so I could binge-watch all the episodes of 'Single by 30'. I've reached the end of Episode 7, eager for the final Episode 8, when NOTHING HAPPENS! I thought the last episode dropped today, but it's not until TOMORROW! Has anyone EVER screwed up a binge-watch so badly? Anyone? Ever?
