Yup, you got that right! Although I'd change that word order to "V Kanadě jíme na narozeniny dort s javorovým sirupem" (the literal translation now says "In Canada we eat on a birthday a cake with maple syrup").

How do I say "on my birthday...", if I want to, for example, describe something that I eat on my birthday? Is it "na narozeniny..."? Na narozeniny, jíme javorový sirup dort v Kanadě. Did I get that right?
