I SURVIVED! thanks to everyone that hung out live and was so nice about it :)the first 9 minutes are me talking about how i fell in love with singing and unexpectedly wrote a song one day after teaching myself guitar for about a month, plus a lot of disclaimers about how NOT great the song it... haha
then the feed cuts out for a LONG time (mega technical difficulties), reappears at around 16:30, at which point i (reluctantly) play the song.

i finally watched the replay oops the part where you talk about how the first couple songs aren't supposed to be good legit made me pause, write an entire song for 2 hours (my... 3rd one ever i think) and then come back and finish the video :D thanks for all the good advice 🙌🏻 i love how you called it "melodramatic". you were 15! 15 year olds are supposed to be melodramatic! my first one is _at least_ as dramatic and i wrote it at 21 😂
Oh yeah mine is worse: "The sound of your name Breaks the fragile silence of my heart And my heart sighs a thousand and one sighs As I die a thousand and one deaths..." I'll stop there cause I can't bring myself to finish.

I just watched the replay and, well, call me crazy, but I think Confide In You is actually a very nice song. very nice melody and even the words were fine by me! I have no doubt that many other artists' first songs were much worse than this! it just goes to show that, no matter what words or musical notes are in a song, when your voice is added to the mix something magical always happens! <3 Jim. p.s. you handled this stream like a pro. if you were nervous, I didn't detect it. you seemed very happy and giddy to me!
This is beautiful, and for a first song at 15 it's amazing, your forte for sure! :) Also pretty remarkable how wonderful art is in letting out emotions no matter where we are in life. Thank you for sharing the video! :D Just wondering what led you to violin after or before guitar, any others?...besides playing cups ;)

Kina, I admire your bravery for sharing with us the first song you wrote. In all honesty, it wasn’t bad at all. I actually really enjoyed the song. Would you ever consider rewriting the song to fit current Kina? Also, if I may offer a suggestion... When (no pressure) you do another world tour, you need to add this song to the set list... maybe a secret encore song! ;)
