Anyway, here's my message to you in that email. Use it if you think it helps.I think you described your feelings so eloquently behind creating that song during the Jakarta experience in our Skype call last December. You should use our conversation then as the basis for creating your description for the KG Family - it was so honest and emotional.

I'm really late to this message, but I sent you an email a few days ago about "For Now" - TOTALLY AWESOME COMPOSITION, LYRICS, AND PERFORMANCE!

Love the album so so much as much as your #behindthesong initiative! About In the waiting, does the location’s choice of a forest with very big old trees that has load of soul and deepness was natural and instinctive? Did you consider other locations? If yes, which one? About Birdsong and your love and deep connection with animals, what have you ever learnt through them and what humans should learn from them according to you? Thanks!

If you see these! Did you ever have a conversation with Beth similar to what you talked about in the song, or was the song the first time you tried to communicate these things with her? How did you time writing the lyrics to History so well? Is it just a coincidence that the guitar picking/strumming pattern of In the Waiting sounds similar to My Own? "So maybe this is what it takes to realize" from For Now, is that referring to your experience in Jakarta?

Hi Kina! I'm so happy that you're doing this - this whole album resonates with me so much, especially the song In The Waiting itself. There have been periods of my life where I've just listened to it on repeat over and over because it's felt so relevant to how I feel, I can't even explain how comforting it's been. Honestly, it's gotten me through a lot. And one particular night as I was listening to it yet again, I felt moved to paint. This was my first time painting abstractly and I had always toyed with the idea of painting a song but never did, until this one. Painting is an incredibly personal and magical experience for me, similar to how songwriting is for you, so from one artist to another I wanted to share this little piece (it's only 8x8in) with you as a thank you for what you've given me and so many others through your song <3 https://photos.app.goo.gl/VRrWoNcSkUkLvQZa7

Probably too late but I was just listening to Birdsong and reminded how much I like that sustained voice(/synth?/both?) note on the root - in a song of broken glass it's a soft respite. <3

I'd Also like to know about the back story behind "History"! This song just reminds me of my ex >_>

I'm probably too late but: Where did you record the birds chirping in Birdsong? :)

In the video for "History", before you started to write, it looked like you took a moment to breathe, ground yourself. You've shared how scary it can be when you share your music or upload a video. Are those quiet moments before you do share, a place of strength for you?

Were there any souvenirs you kept from any of the video shoots? For the "When Will I learn" video there are a lot of shots of you standing and looking pensive; what was the directions you received for that? Did you know beforehand what speed to do the "History" video at or was it trial and error?

One of my three bad feeling moments of being a fan of you was when I found out you didn't want people to find out about you and Jesse and I had already happened to read about it on Wikipedia when it wasn't deleted, and I felt dirty and small and gross. Now you have one secret again, the words in All Along, and many people want it revealed. What does that feel like for you? Are we encouraging or encroaching, supportive or just pushy?
