Happy Valentine's Day, my sweet sweet KG Records Family! I can't thank you enough for all the Valentine's Day messages you sent in. As per usual, I just couldn't bear to leave any out, so I included all the ones I couldn't fit into a little scrolly bit at the end of the video!! Reading your messages, I laughed, I cried, and most of all felt so grateful to get to be a part of all of these beautiful stories that are happening all over the world. Thank you.
Eye update! As many of you know, I had an eye surgery last week to have a thing called a pterygium removed from my eye that was giving me some pain. The last week has been a super odd one and the recovery took a bit more out of me than expected. I had 4 stitches on the surface of my eye, so it basically felt like I had 4 eyelashes stuck in my eye EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY. Needless to say, I was a bit useless as a result of that, but luckily I'd shot this video the day before I got surgery to ensure I got it done in time. The stitches came out yesterday and I am now feeling a million times better and feeling so happy to have an eye that feels moderately normal again.
Anyway, my thoughts on Valentine's Day--Yes, it's a silly arbitrary day. Yes, card and candy companies are super cashing in on it. Yes, you should love and appreciate the people around you EVERY DAY. But, YES, I ALSO think it's a beautiful excuse to show a little extra love because why not?! Give your mom and dad a hug, tell your siblings what they mean to you, send some gratitude out to your friends, partner, pets, YOURSELF. Just do it! Life is short and there are so many ways to celebrate the love we have in our lives. Pick a flower! Eat a treat! Write yourself a love note!
Thank you all again for the love you are constantly filling up my life with. So grateful for your company and support!

I was too nervous and indecisive to contribute to this but it is so heartwarming to see everybody else's love and messages. To use Jesse's phrasing, I'm always in awe at how this community supports love philanthropy. And Kina! I think this acoustic version of the song is so perfect a decade on to showcase how your style and voice has evolved yet the essence of you and your sweet and simple philosophy on Valentine's Day is still there. Also I can't stop admiring your wonderful handwriting, as well as the headband/sweater/makeup combo :)
Thank you for putting this together and letting my wife and I be a small part of it. It was a long day for her today with a lot of stress and angst but when I sent her the link with a special note, it cheered her right up. When we were dating and this song came out, it became our unofficial anthem like many others during a holiday that we never really celebrated. A little bit later, I got her one of the drawings you were selling as a reminder of our relationship. We still have it now in our home.
Kina thank you for getting in my contribution. I sent it in late and you still came through. I didn't expect to see it - so it was a wonderful surprise. I can't wait to see if my wife can find it. I am currently away on a business trip but heading home tomorrow. Thank you again.
