I was shocked by how much better it got! Many new places: Hogo Fogo, Eat Meat, Otoč Kafe, La Petite Conversation, Dock... amazing!

I taught in Ostrava for a semester (but lived in Olomouc). From the city hall tower I could see the building where I taught. Has a different feel than Prague or Brno, much more industrial. I did enjoy my time there and the people I taught.

I personally didn't enjoy Ostrava when I went a few years ago as it seemed very run down, but maybe it's improved since then.
