new song and a coffee date!

i come bearing a brand new/very old song for you! here is "everything"--a song jesse and i wrote some 12 years ago and could never find the right moment to bring fully into form until aya was born and we realized it was about her. we recorded it last summer up in the mountains of orcas island, perhaps one of the most beautiful places i have ever been, with our dear friends henri and marie (aka mree!). it was beyond magical in just about every way.
"everything" is a tiny little song, almost like a meditation in a way. it's made up of two little sentences and that's it. somehow it always felt that that was all the song wanted to say :)

Wow I love this! Itβs so simple but thereβs so much heart in it. Also nice to hear Jesse riffing on the electric again π This has a sort of raw purity to it that is both reminiscent of early Bon Iver stuff but also completely you guys. Thanks for sharing this with us ππΌ

I listened to it right away when it was up on Spotify! Love it! The little flute (or whatever that is) at ~23 secs sounds like birbs chirping :D In my mind the buildup at the end continues into an epic geetar solo hehehe!
