Aquifer Breakthrough Poll
🕑 Added 2018-09-26 10:01:01 +0000 UTC Hey, dudes! Just out of BLAZING curiosity, how many of you DF players have ever gotten through an aquifer? They are a SUPER pain in the butt and i'm pretty curious how successful y'all are with em'.

Exposing them to the elements and letting nature freeze it solid. I generally avoid aquifers if I play on warm+ temperature areas.
You can usually get a wall in under a pump or between 2 easy enough (channel in front of the pumps mine under the pumps "seat" and stick a wall in there). Pumping back into a channel in the aquifer behind the pump. But each wall will get cancelled a dozen times or so. Without DF hack "#resume all" it's very tedious (even with it, it's annoying). I just got through one with a big 12x12 pit on the first level this way, pumps every 2 squares. With your power station you might get less cancels with pumps all the way around. There are more efficient ways... but more pumps seems more dorfy.
