The Curse of Nugget Balls

I wrote two endings, and I want my Patrons input on which one is better. Please enjoy this story, and let me know which ending you like more in the comments. Also I apologize for any polish that is needed, I just couldn't find the time to clean this one up like I usually do.---
The Curse of Nugget Balls
I got what seemed like an urgent text from my friend Tish, that said she needed to come over after work. Tish worked at the candy store in town, and it showed on her waistline that she indulged in her employee benefits a little bit during her past few years there. Myself on the other hand kept things pretty firm and tight. I didn't do a lot of exercise, but I tried to eat well and I think that's what has help keep me thin all these years.
About the time I was expecting I heard a knock at the door, so I went over to let Tish in. She had come straight from work so she was still wearing her tan smock and white undershirt with kakias. “So Tish, what was the urgent matter? Did something happen?” I asked as my friend entered my apartment. Tish looked at me dumbly.
“What are you on about?” She paused, trying to think. It finally dawned on her what I was talking about, so she started to fill me in. “Oh!” She laughed. “No no, nothing dire like that. It's just we got these new candies in and I wanted you to try them.” With that she procured a small bag from her purse. It was white with red lettering on it, and a seal on top to keep it closed. Tish unfasten the seal and presented the contents to me.
I looked inside the dark pouch not knowing what to expect. I mean I expected candy, but I didn't know any more than that. “They are called Nugget Balls.” She explained. “Needs a little work on the name, but they are chocolate, caramel, and peanut butter, and they are amazing. They taste kinda like a deluxe M&M.” I didn't see the harm, so I stuck my hand in and grabbed one out. It was a decently sized candy, bigger than an M&M, but not so big that I could split it into two bites.
I popped it in my mouth, and let the flavors do their magic. Tish was true to her word, I could distinctly taste all three flavors she described, but I wasn't as blown away as she was making it seem I should have been.
“So what did you think? No wait.” She said before letting me answer. “Have another. You need a few before you can make a real determination.” So I ate a few more. The bag must have had dozens, so I was barely making a dent. And I had to admit they were pretty good. “So what's the verdict Gail?”
I cleared my throat from all the chocolaty goodness that had settled there. “Not half bad. Actually I agree with you, they are better than most of the stuff out there on store shelves. Not sure it's an instant classic, but it'll do.”
“I think these folks are pushing it to be come a staple right away. We got a real big display to put up, and they sent us a ton a free bags for promotional purposes. You can have the rest of these, we have a bunch more in our breakroom at work.” Tish gushed.
“I'll take it, sure why not. I don't eat a lot of candy, but these will be nice to have as a treat.” I reasoned.
Tish hung out for a little longer, but eventually she wanted to get home since it was a busy day at work getting all the Nugget Balls into the store. I tossed the bag she gave me on the counter and had a few more later that night before bed.
It wasn't until a few days later that I really thought about them again. I had been snacking on my small supply when I passed through the kitchen, or had a craving for some. After continuing to have them a few times a day for half a week I had to still admit they were pretty darn good. I even felt myself wanting a handful after a few hours of not having any. It was the perfect treat after getting home from a long day at work.
But a few days after Tish had been over my place, I needed to hit the grocery store to do some shopping. The first thing I see when I walk in the front automated doors is a big Nugget Balls display. I was drawn to the bright white and bold red display, and this was the first time I had seen them outside the comfort of my own kitchen.
I went over to check things out, and the tall cardboard structure had several shelves holding numerous bags of the new candy. The thing that caught my eye the most though was the text on the display. 'grab a bag and enjoy the world's newest candy while you shop.’ I found this ad interesting. I figured you just paid for it when you got to the check out, but I had never seen before and advertisement encouraging you to snack while in the store. But if they were encouraging it, I guess it was ok. Usually this wouldn't be something I'd do, but I was craving a few of those chocolate delights, so I decided to snag a bag to enjoy while I did my shopping. Plus the bag at home was on it's last legs so it wouldn't be so bad to have a replacement. After all these things were darn tasty.
So I started my shopping, grabbing all the fresh stuff I needed, piling up my cart, while tossing Nugget Ball after Nugget Ball past my lips while I strolled through the store. By the time I got to the check out I was thoroughly satisfied with my snack, and I licked my lips as I sealed the bag. Doing so I took stock of just how many Nugget Balls were left, and I was shocked to see probably half the bag was gone. I was a little mortified with myself for indulging that much on sweets, it was so unlike me. But the Nugget Balls were just so good, I couldn't help but keep reaching back for one after another.
I should have let this sinking feeling be a warning that I didn't need these unhealthy treats in my house, but unfortunately I learned a different lesson. A bag almost empty at home, and now this bag half full, that would certainly not last me until my next shopping trip in a week. Luckily they had plenty of more bags right near the check out counters, so I grabbed another one and plopped it down with the rest of my groceries. One more bag wouldn't be that harmful.
I happily paid for my groceries, and headed for my car. Driving home with the bags in the back seat, I gleefully thought of the tasty treats I had procured. I didn't know what was coming over me, I usually stuck to just eating salads and never really cared for sweets, but these candies seem to have a spell over me, and the worst was that I was blissfully unaware.
The weeks rolled on, and my addiction to Nugget Balls did not dwindle. Tish came by again with some more freebies from work. I admitted to her that I had been stocking up the grocery store. I thought she would be mad that I didn't patron the candy store instead, but she was actually ok with it. “No worries. They have been flying off the shelf so fast, we can't always keep them in stock. Thankfully a huge delivery came in today, which is why I was able to bring some over.”
“I've got enough here to last me through the week though, so not sure what I should do with these few extra bags.” I bemoaned.
“Take em to work.” Tish suggested. “I'm sure having a stash at your desk will be nice. That way you don't have to wait until you're home to get your fix.”
This was a great idea, well a great idea if I wanted to chomp on Nugget Balls all day. I now had a supply at home and at work, so I was never far away if I needed a little treat. And that was nice and all but after a week or so I decided I should probably put a bag in my car for while I'm driving. It was getting into the cold season so there was no worry that they would melt.
So now I had access to Nugget Balls pretty much anywhere, but that didn't stop me from buying a bag to store in my nightstand drawer, and another to have in my living room. The kitchen stash was really just for when I was preparing food. And I was easily polishing off a bag every time I hit the grocery store now too.
Soon enough it was the holiday season, and I knew just want to get everyone on my Christmas list. Nugget Balls had just come out with a snowflake designed package, so I picked up a crate worth, along with some gift bags. Of course I made sure to have a couple extra bags just for me, a little snack for while I was wrapping up the rest.
When Christmas came I was happy to share all the gifts I had gotten for my friends, family, and coworkers. I got a few confusing looks from people, but I just assumed it was because they didn't know about the newest hottest candy on the market. I didn't possibly think the looks were from people noticing the soft hanging belly I had developed for the first time in my life.
It was true that I had gained a little weight, or at least I thought it was only a few pounds. I first got the thought in my head when Tish came over one night to bring me a Christmas present. It was then that I noticed how much bigger she had gotten these past few months. Tish was always a soft girl, with round thighs, a doughy middle, and a matching bust. But everything about her now was just… more. Her chest was now something that would make most girls jealous, her belly was so much bigger it had started to hang over her waistline, and her thighs had gotten so thick they were touching almost halfway to her knees.
Tish was holding a large bucket, covered by a translucent film, only barely obscuring what lay inside. The bucket was filled with Nugget Balls, a supply that would last me some time. I was very grateful, but when I hugged her all I could feel was her new warm padding embracing me.
Despite these warning signs I still refused to step on a scale. The warning signs had started before this though I have to admit. I knew I had gained a couple pounds when my work skit was getting a little too tight. Rather than address the problem head on, I just went out and bought some new clothes a size up, easy solution. My wardrobe for again, and any thought of extra pounds were out of my head. Anytime something didn't fit, I just went to the store later that day and replaced it one size up. Over time though I had jumped a few sizes, but I couldn't see what was right in front of my face.
I just kept up my same bad habits as the new year rolled on. With Tish's super stash in hand I didn't mind over indulging since I had so much to go around, but eventually I had to restock at the store. I still had Nugget Balls all over my house, not to mention in my car and a desk drawer full at work. Tish and I continued to get together here and there when we had free time, and we always snacked on our new favorite treat.
The year had been going by in a blur, and it was almost fall again. Tish warned me that this was their busy season and she would have to work late most nights until Halloween. Also I didn't help that Nugget Balls we're still in high demand and the candy store had never been busier. So this lead to about a two month window where Tish and I were unable to get together. But we both agreed to hangout on Halloween when she was able to close the store early. She'd come over my place and we could hand out candy to the trick or treaters.
Of course we had to be in costume, but what to dress up as was a heated topic of debate in our text thread a few weeks before the end of October. I wasn't much for Halloween costumes, so I figured I would just go pick up something off the rack. Tish on the other hand seemed to be more into it.
“I was thinking something like a Crayola crayon or something.” I typed out.
“What? No way, that's not the Halloween spirit. Gail you are young and in your 20’s, this is the time to flaunt what you've got. Halloween is the one time it's ok for girls to go out in public dressed up in something so scandalously sexy. Embrace it!” Tish sent me in a wall of text.
“Ok fine then, what are you going to wear?” I tossed it back in her court.
“I've been putting together a little something. It's a sexy schoolgirl outfit, I know that sort of thing drives boys wild. Think Britney Spears but with more skin showing.” More skin showing was certainly correct.
“Ok fine I'll go to the shop later and pick something out.” Message sent. “And it will be 'sexy’ don't you worry.” I joked.
The costume didn't really bother me one way or a another, so I was happy enough to oblige my friend. So I went to the holiday shop where I knew they'd have a ton of costumes. I quickly realized Tish had nothing to be worried about. The costumes came in three types, children's, men's, and lingerie. Every woman's costume had the word sexy on it before the rest of the name. And every package had the same picture of a thin and toned blonde wearing the contents inside.
Sexy angel, sexy devil, sexy construction worker, it was all a little much. A sexy police officer drew my attention, so I settled on that, not wishing to be in the store longer than necessary. I reached into the back and pulled off the costume that had the same number of X's as the rest of my current clothing, trying not mentally process just how much of a change that was from last year.
A few weeks later Halloween rolled around, so I finally got to taking the police uniform out of it's packaging. It was quite skimpy as expected, and I had to admit I felt a little self conscious wearing it. Thankfully the only people who were going to see me we're Tish and any kids who came to the door.
My costume consisted of a pair of dark blue booty shorts with some cop accessories painted on to look like I had them. It was quite difficult to wiggle them all the way up my thighs and comfortably get them over my butt. The top wasn't much better. I struggled to get it over my bust, and it didn't cover much not than that. The top had a nice and shiney police star ironed on the chest, but there wasn't much more to it besides the look of a few fake pockets and a name printed on it, officer naughty.
Again I felt a little uncomfortable, but I did this for my friend so I just had to stuck it up. Speaking of Tish, we both left work early so we could meet at my place for trick or treaters. I heard a pounding on the door and prayed that it was Tish and not some early go-getters for some candy. Tish worked at a candy store so it was a no brainer that she was going to bring the goods tonight for all of our visitors.
Thankfully my prayers were answered and it was in fact Tish, but I was still a little surprised at what stood on the other side of my door. It was Tish alright, but she was absolutely huge. I knew Tish was a bigger girl, and ever since these Nugget Balls came in the market she had gained a little more, but this was a little shocking. I was in denial about my own weight, and when we were spending so much time together I guess I just didn't notice her getting bigger and bigger. It had been two months since I had seen her and now I could see the difference was noticeable.
She was wearing a school girl uniform as promised, but it did little to hide her enormous frame. Her short plaid skirt showed off the full size of her tree trunk legs, which easily touched all the way to the knee. As Tish waddled into my place I could see that the skirt just acted as a drape across the top of her bum. The bottom half of the two inflated cheeks were on full display. Her top was just as bad, if not worse. Just like me her top really only covered her boobs, with a tied off button down shirt and small sweater. The fabric was stretched tight due to the shear size of each mammary on her chest.
This all left her midsection completely bare, which at her current size had rolls and folds and bugles all over the place. First off I noticed just how much her belly hung over the waistband of her skirt. Her belly had grown so far and wide, it was no surprise it hung over her skirt by several inches. Then I noticed her love handles. They symmetrically rolled out on either side of her. Her belly had become so vast that the top and the bottom could not keep up with one another, which lead to a secondary roll closer to her bust a top her bigger belly roll.
“How do you think I look?” Tish asked as she did a spin so I could see her full costume. Turning around slowly I could see all her back rolls and bulges caused by her excessive pounds and tight clothing.
I was gobsmacked by the whole thing, but I had to tell her the truth.
---- Ending Number 1
“Holy cow Tish, do you realize how fat you've gotten?” I said with an outburst.
“Speak for yourself wide load. I'm not the only one with more cushion for the pushin.” She responded.
“Ok I'll admit I've put on a few recently, but Tish, you're looking quite round, rounder than you have been. I'm worried about you.” I said with concern.
“Worried about me? How about you? I've always been naturally thick, this extra padding was inevitable. But you, you've gone from twig to beluga whale this past year.” Tish deflected.
“That's a bit harsh don't you think?” I tried to get her to see reason.
“Gail, do you really not see it? You've gained some serious flab recently, especially these past two months. Haven't you recognized all the telltale fat girl signs? When's the last time you saw your toes standing straight up? How quickly do you get tired now even just walking short distances? Even with all that, I mean what size clothes do you wear? I'm guessing you're in the 4X range, since I just moved up to 5X myself.”
Was Tish being real with me? There was no way I had gotten that fat. I mean she was right about the toes this, and I have been getting pretty winded for awhile.
“The best way to see where you're at is by letting the scale show you. When is the last time you weighed yourself?”
I cringed knowing that it had been too long. Tish was right and this wasn't just a few extra pounds. I followed her guidance and waddled behind her to the bathroom, feeling my large hips sway side to side. Have they always done that? We proceeded right to the scale and I tepidly stepped on. I looked down and couldn't clearly see the numbers. Tish expected this to be a problem and was in position to read them to me. “289 pounds” she stated clearly.
“Holy crap.” I murmured.
“It's not so bad. Here let me step on, I bet I'm over 300.” Tish said with a smile. I moved so she could take my place and I watched her body jiggle as she took the small step up. The scale did it's calculation and presented it's read out. A pause went by before Tish spoke up. “Gail, do you mind reading that? I'm a little too fat to see it.” She said grinning.
I snapped back to reality from the chaos going on in my head and read the numbers without even thinking about them. “312 pounds.”
“See you still lighter than me, doesn't that count for something?” Tish could tell her comment didn't help.
“God, how did I get so fat? It's those damn Nugget Balls!” I cursed.
“Of course it is, those things are calorie bombs. You should see some of the folks who come into the store. They can't get enough of them, and those folks have really gotten huge.” Tish puffed up her cheeks and impersonated a fat person, or well a person even fatter than her.
“Tish, we are those people! We are huge! What are we going to do? I mean go on a diet of course, and no more Nugget Balls that's for sure. I'm throwing the rest of mine away.” I stated boldly.
“Gail, I think you are being a little dramatic. And come on this has been the best year of my life, and I only had to gain 150 pounds. What's wrong with being a fat girl? I've finally got curves in the places I wanted, I can eat all the delicious candy I want, and I've got my best friend in the world to enjoy it with. What could be better?”
Tish was being a tosser like usual, but I had to admit the changes I wanted to make wouldn't be easy. I mean I did have a huge chest now, something I was sorely lacking a year ago. My ass actually filled any pair of bottoms I wore, which was a first. I was freaking flabby all over, but the thought of giving up Nugget Balls had my stomach feeling like a pit.
“Come on Gail, be a fatty with me. You've never looked sexier or more womanly, and we can really let loose and eat whatever we want. What do you say?”
I'm not sure if it was the shock and awe of the evening, or if the Nugget Balls had seriously warped my brain but the next words that came out of my mouth shocked even me. “Sure! Let's do it!” Tish cheered in excitement, jumping up and down, her whole body shaking, and waves of fat crashing all over the place.
“This is going to be great. I've been waiting for a moment like this to go full fat girl. I know I've been a pig at the candy store, but I'm ready to take this flab to the next level. How do you feel about ordering in a few pizzas?” Tish grinned.
There was nothing I could say but yes, and I didn't regret my decision at all when that first slice of meat lovers pizza entered my mouth. By the time the whole pie was done though I was feeling quite stuffed, and that I had eaten a little too much.
“God I love this feeling.” Tish gushed. “And we are just getting started buddy. This town has a lot of take out joints for us to try over the next few nights and weeks. Props on the cop costume by the way, it looks great on you. You can really see that newly formed belly of yours.”
“Oh Lord, don't tell me you're a lesbian as well, I don't think I can take any more weird news tonight.” I spat out while I tried to labor my breathing.
Tish laughed at that. “No way girly, I'm straight. But now that we a fat friends for life, we gotta hit the chubby chaser scene together. There are guys who would go instant boner if they saw you dressed like that. We gotta get your flab down to one of their mixers and you'll see just how much those luscious rolls are appreciated.”
“Cuz I mean you sounds like you're into all this poundage.” I continued my joke, which made Tish laugh.
With Tish's help I came to accept my new life in the fat lane. I still ate just as many Nugget Balls, but the world was full of possibilities. Tish frequently came over for extreme quantities of take out, I started hitting up fast food joints to, from, and during work. Needless to say I didn't stay at 289 pounds for long. Both of us were growing bigger and wider each week with our overindulgent appetites.
And she did take me to one of those mixers. I had never seen so many men flock to us. I thought it would be hard to land a date as I neared 400 pounds, but these guys were on knees begging to take me out to dinner, or a buffet. It took a few mixers and several dates, but I finally found a guy I like, Jake, who appreciates me for who I am and my size. He loves watching me eat too, so that's a plus since I've been eating a whole heck of a lot these days.
Tish found love too. She's with this guy Daniel who considers himself a feeder I guess. All I know if that he treats Tish like a princess and she never goes to bed hungry. It seems like her waistline agrees with her new relationship though, she's been leaving me in the dust in the race to 500. I can't help think though that we both look amazing despite the hundreds of pounds we've both gained.
This all started because a new candy came to town, but I have to say thanks to that candy for changing my life. For giving me a loving boyfriend, a happy and rotund best friend, and a 400 pound beautiful flabby body. Thank you Nugget Balls from your number 1 customer.

“Holy cow Tish, do you realize how fat you've gotten?” I said with an outburst.
“Speak for yourself wide load! I've always been curvey. You're the one who's gone and ruined that perfect figure you've always had.” Tish retaliated.
“I'll admit I've put on a few this past year, but Tish I'm really concerned about you. It looks like you've been eating non-stop for the past two month.” I tried to get her to see the light.
“Ha a few pounds, more like a few hundred pounds.” I gasped at Tish's attacking comment. “Well there is only one way to prove each other wrong or right and that's by getting on the scale.” I winced knowing I had been avoiding the scale for so long, but I had to do this to show Tish just how blubbery she had gotten. Facing my own fears was just a small consideration.
After we both agreed to hop on the scale, I followed Tish as she waddled to the bathroom. I was entranced by her large booty as it's swayed back and forth along with her wide hips. How could she have not noticed how big she was getting?
In the spacious bathroom I dragged out the scale and motioned for Tish to go first, guests first of course. The scale did it's calculating and then there was a moment of pause. Tish cleared her throat before saying, “Umm Gail, do you mind reading the numbers, I can't quite see.” I rolled my eyes and took a look at the scale.
“292 pounds.” Wow that was more than I thought. Just a stone's throw away from 300. “Tish I'm sorry to have to show you like this, but it's important that you know.” I could see the look of shock on Tish's face. I motioned for her to get off the scale and proceeded to get on myself.
“Tish it's going to be ok.” I said while the scale calculated my weight. “You actually still look pretty good. You've got those boobs you always wanted.” I paused to check on my own reading, there was just one problem, or should I say two problems. Looking down all I could see was chest. I used my hands to try and flatten my boobs as best I could but I still couldn't make out the numbers. I tried leaning over as far as I could, but the shift in weight just made me almost topple over. “Tish, do you mind reading my number? I'm having a little issue here.”
Gail perked up a little bit as she looked down, but turned solemn again as she looked me in the eye. “295 pounds.” She said cringing a little bit.
I was baffled, there was no way. “This thing must be broken.” I stepped off and on again, but again Tish read off 295 pounds.
“It can't be broken if it gave my weight correctly. I think it's just time to face the facts Gail, you've gotten fat.” Tish hit me with the hard truth I could no longer deny. “Personally I knew I had gained some serious poundage, I just didn't realize it was that much. You can't just turn that around from 292 pounds. I have to admit I'm officially fat now. But same goes for you, and you can't deny it any longer. You're not skinny old Gail anymore, you've gotten fat too. Not chubby, not plump, down right fat. I know it's hard to face facts, but you must have noticed the signs. Unable to see the scale or your toes, the labored walking going just short distances, not to mention the size clothes you must have to wear.”
I was gobsmacked. I had been in such deep denial for a year now, and I was just eating more and more each passing day, no wonder I was such a fatty. I dug my fingers into my soft belly, watching them go in several inches. I was horrified by this whole ordeal and just wanted to wake up from this nightmare.
“It's not all bad though. Like you said to me, I think you actually look pretty hot. You've finally got curves, which you certainly didn't have before. It's crazy seeing you with a butt, because your was always non existent. And even though you have a good sized belly, I actually think it's kinda cute. And I've even hear there are guys who like a girl with a bit of a belly.” Tish said with a wink.
“I think this is more than a bit of a belly!” I exclaimed, lifting my midsection with both my hands and allowing it to drop. “We are both nearly 300 pounds.”
“And I say, let's embrace it. We both look great, and have obviously been happy this past year. We've never been closer as friends, why should we let a few pounds get in the way of that.” Tish had a way of convincing me that I didn't understand.
“You really think I look good? I'm not a fat ugly oaf?” I questioned.
“In that slutty costume you look even hotter! Come on let's go hand out some candy to some trick or treaters and get drunk on chocolate tonight.” I had to admit that sounded pretty amazing.
So the two of us wide loads made our way to the front door where we parked our large rears and munched on candy the rest of he night. I might not have intended to ever be fat, but now that I was the only thing to do was to embrace it. I mean there was no way I would ever give up eating Nugget Balls, right?

Thanks for the advice Connor. I do like the idea of a more fleshed out ending. I like the other ending too as it focus's more on the reveal and embracing the moment. Maybe I could polish up the first ending.
Really liked the story. I personally liked the first ending better. It was nice seeing the girls continue to get bigger and finding boyfriends. It feels like a more complete ending. That being said if you were thinking about writing a part two, then the second ending is probably best, since it leaves the story more open ended. Either way keep up the good work.
