Can glass be magnetic?
🕑 Added 2019-09-29 18:18:58 +0000 UTCTime to test the magnetism of the 24 glass beads from my previous video. And add two extra glass samples I kinda forgot I had...
I was so surprised by the test results that I had to ask the seller - which is also the manufacturer - what they added to the glass beads. I don't have a clear answer, but I share my (qualified) guess in the video. Let me know what you think of it?

It is a nice sound indeed. Appears like the 50 mm sphere magnet and Gd-bead have exactly the right amount of attraction between them. Too much and it's just a loud snap. Too little and it's barely audible. I wonder if there is an English term for this kind of sound? Clatter? I like the sound of 'acoustic dispersion' - for example a rock skipping over a frozen lake. I may need to make a video about sound effects :)
@ 3:27 the sound the bead makes when it contacts the sphere is one of my favorite sounds!
