A bit late to the party, but i'd love to hear Teas opinion about "Why a Girlfriend Won't Cure Your Depression" Me, long time single, knows that a GF wouldn't be the solution to all my problems. But it would help tremendously with so many, many things; be it a kick in the butt or just a soothing hand and some kind words.

I agree. I think the issue is when any of those points are taken to the extreme. Is there anything wrong with being in a relationship whilst experiencing mental health issues? Absolutely not. People are people and more often than not, people feel unwell, overwhelmed or just plain like they don't want to be here. In the same breath, is it wise to assume that meeting someone will instantly change every aspect of our lives? Probably not. It's all about balancing expectations and seeing people as people. People can absolutely change our life for the better, but it's important to recognise the need for personal accountability and managing expectations. As I said, people are just people - not miracle workers, not ideas, just people trying to do their best for themselves and the ones they care about.

'why girlfriend won't cure your depression' is a needed one always amazes me how people try to push ideas like 'you're not a burden', 'it's okay to ask for help' and with the same breath dismiss that we could lean on a partner. Oh and my favourite one is about perfectionism how no one is perfect yet they tell you to wait until you are to be 'ready' for relationship. While all of those are valid points they are pushed too far.

I would love to hear your view / perspective on "You'll Spend Some of the Best Times of Your Life Alone [In My Opinion]". I've been very isolated for almost a decade, (made COVID isolation seem normal to me.) I reclused myself because I was so ashamed and embarrased about myself, and how I had treated other people because of what happened. (TL;DR Story: I met a woman with very similar view on life, hobbies etc., we became really really good friends, no romantic relationship, then out of the blue she had to go get drugs on a movie trip, a bit later I did them with her and was manipulated and exploited for money because I was blinded by love and young inexperience. P.S.: I'm clean and sober since 2010 after 9 months of drugs and me not realizing what I was doing to myself by being around her.) Anyways, I've already yakked an ear off here - thank you for your continued amazing work, Tea.

I think why having a girlfriend won’t cure depression is a fantastic topic, I feel like searching for happiness in someone else isn’t the right answer but I can’t help feel like it’s a connection with someone I’m missing. I mean regardless of what wins, tea puts out solid content

I would gladly read/hear a few of (and apparently I can select multiple), but I think the big one of my preferences (even though the girlfriend-depression one is something I need to learn), is the love language one. I'm a blend of touch, time spent, and affirmation (with the latter being a result of content creators like you), and I'd like to hear your thoughts.
