Positivity can be incredibly effective, but only when it’s sincere. You don’t have to find “the good” in everything, especially not your illness, disability or pain.

I'm not going to pretend that I know what you're going through just because I've got moderate glaucoma but I'm sorry that your eye disease has made your life so hard for you.

There's nothing inspiring or brave about having a eye disease that has taken most of your life away, in my experience I just don't have the fortune of being physically capable and I have to pay for it every day.

Thank you Tea for the kind words and the PoP.

My disabilities are both physical and mental, and they BOTH suck! :D Physical means I can't walk properly, and mental means I can't walk without someone beside me because of an extreme & irrational fear of falling. So overall a shitty combination that leads to me being inactive & stationary most of the time. Thanks for this, Tea, it makes a lot of sense, and it's something a lot of us needed to hear. :)

Funny timing with this post. Had an argument with my dad recently about high standards and taking a breather he told me “your fighting days are over, now it’s time for you to heal” ❤️🩹
