I love my freedom and alone time, but I really do wish I had more platonic friends who lived near me, so we could meet up and do things together.
Let me know if you guys feel similarly.
I don't believe in absolutes. You don't have to be miserable to wish you had more friends. You don't have to hate your life to want more out of it.
Nothing is perfect or neat. Life is full of contradictions. I believe there's power in being honest and vulnerable.

Oh absolutely! I don't really have any local friends these days... I'm disabled, wheelchair and basically homebound for the most part. Mostly because I no longer have a SO as she left back in 2020, and I rely on in my grandmother to handle me, so.. I keep trips to town to a minimum. Which means to the dr once a month. I live out in the boonies so.. most of my friends reside online, in discord... Honestly? It wasn't long after my now ex-wife left June 20th 2020, the day after my birthday; that I found some of your audios to fall asleep to. I can't tell ya how much it helped me not feel alone at night. Even though I moved to sleeping in my wheelchair to keep some independence at night, I'll put on one of your audios and it's like a warm hug in a soft bed to fall asleep to. Not ashamed to admit I've cried more than a few times. Good cries. It's been 5 years, and some days still feel pretty lonely. But I wouldn't say I'm miserable, either. Just rollin' (pun totally intended) with the hand life dealt me and thankful for the friends I have even if they are many miles away <3

Late addition to this post. I just got back from England, attending the funeral of an Army friend's parent. You don't need a lot of friends. Sometimes is just having a few special friends who you can make yourself available to for big life events or just weekly gaming sessions.

I don't know. I constantly have a fear that either people generally don't want me around, OR that I'll just let them down and they will just quietly exclude me when I do. Its more comfortable for me to just exclude myself... but I'm sure that's not healthy.
