Some updates for new animations + Warriors info
🕑 Added 2022-06-10 03:25:31 +0000 UTCHello, I've been working on new techniques for jiggles and lighting and I want to implement those new methods in Hilda & Lysithea animation. I was supposed to share a preview of that animation some days ago, but I really want to add this new "features".
Here's some test
Note that this is more a deformation test rather than a jiggle test, but you get the idea. No physics involved, all this is done manually, so I can tweak the amount of force and speed.
and yes, this means that Hilda and Lys animation will have a similar scene, but of course with actual good jiggles.
About lighting, well, the problem with Cel Shading Style is that you need to add one single light for the characters, and the scenario. This is a problem because doing this I lose control of the shadows in the character and then people say why the character have "Michael Jackson nose", well, that's because the nose of the character cast no shadow and make it look weird.
here's a comparison of the first Edelgard preview and the final animation. I had to move the lights to make her nose cast a shadow.
But I finally find a way to make "fake shadows" and "fake lighting".
Now I can use a light to lit a character a secondary light to lit the scenario and a third light to "cast" the shadows, I'm so happy with this new techniques.
Btw, new FE warriors demo came out and the characters have new designs. so I probably make a poll if you want some animations with those new designs

I’m going to start campaigning for a Constance animation now. Her redesign is incredible, easily the best one.
