Abit late, but Lapis is probably the only new female design in this game that I think looks really, really good. Emblem girls are all pretty good, highlights being Lyn, Celica and of course, Camilla

Thanks! As a Pikmin fan, Pikmin 4 was definitely the highlight of the direct for me. Also, the point you made about Heroes was spot on. It warms my heart knowing Veronica is basically considered the mascot of that game. Her design is too good to be relegated to a mobile spinoff alone.

It was a surprise sight to see for sure, but it does makes sense. Since Fire Emblem Engage is mainly made to get the Fire Emblem Heroes player base to buy/play the mainline games. So bringing a popular/well known original character in Heroes over to a mainline game for the Heroes player base is a good call. (With this in mind, I should update my message for my personal favorite list. Hopefully Overused23 is willing to recheck the list.) Also, I hope you enjoyed the rest of the Nintendo Direct TheDinksterBrands!

The recent Nintendo direct revealed Veronica will be a DLC character. It's cool to see a Heroes exclusive character get an actual 3D model. I never thought Veronica would appear outside of Heroes.

Alright you know what? After watching all the Engage supports I'm going to add Framme to my list. She's small, she's ADORABLE, she's a sweetheart, and her hat is the best fashion choice in the cast. Plus, I mean, I can think of a few things I'd cash in those frickets for.....

Glad to know you are still enjoying yourself nonetheless and yeah! I (and most fans) would like to believe that the developers where more focus on gameplay then story. Which I can at least appreciate it, because like a Fire Emblem Veteran always says, "You can skip a bad story, but you can't skip bad gameplay." and I whole heartily agree with that statement. Though I'll at least admit a couple of things. There are a few hidden gems within both characters and story as far as I can see. FE Engage is like if FE Heroes and FE Fates had a baby and said baby tried to make their favorite Aunt FE Awakening proud of them, by copying what they have done in the past. But man! Is the gameplay a real blast to playthrough! Hopefully with this in mind, the FE Heroes player base will give the mainline games a shot if they haven't done so already. Also yep! What can I say? I honestly liked FE Engage's character design and I had a few soft spots of their characterizations. (Simple, but effective nonetheless!)

Of course I liked the gameplay, but it's a shame that the story was not good, and the characters are just generic anime tropes. Also you basically mentioned all the characters (which is nice).

Alrighty then first off! Congrats on improving the Engage shaders cause I know it's not a easy task no sir! As well as making more character renders, I can hardly wait to see them. I can understand why you are not a big fan of the new characters, but hey! Hopefully you enjoyed the gameplay of it, if you even have played it of course. Take it from someone like me, who played Three Houses at least seven times! (As well as played basically all of Fire Emblem games) FM Engage has a average to below average story, but amazing gameplay to boot! I'm more than willing to tell you my personal favorite characters that are worth it for your future animations. Though it's a long list so I'll try to organize it and start from there. Playable Characters Alear (Female), Framme, Céline, Etie, Chloé, Jade, Yunaka, Saphir, Timerra, Merrin, Panette, Ivy, Hortensia and Veyle. Playable Emblems (at the time/UPDATE) Emblem Celica, Emblem Lyn, Emblem Eirika, Emblem Micaiah, Emblem Lucina, Emblem Corrin (Female) Emblem Edelgard, Emblem Camilla and Emblem Veronica. Non-Playable Characters Lumera, Ève, Seforia, Anje, Calney, Anisse and Marni. Honorary Mentions Rosado, Jean, Clanne, Alcryst, Seadall, Anna and Emblem Tiki. Now I know there is no snowball's chance in Hell you'll ever do any of these and I understand why as well as me being okay with it. I just thought I'd at least say my peace and move on. Oh shit, I never even thought of the fact that Engage would bring some life back to Micaiah; HELL YEAH! Merrin, Lapis, Yunaka, and Citrinne are all really hot and seem to be good fits for your style of animation!

I honestly liked more the emblem characters than the actual characters of the game, but there's some characters that I liked, Lapis and Merrin for example.

Honestly I'm not a big fan of the Engage cast either. The only characters I'd be interested in seeing would be...Definately Veyle.....Hortensia I guess.....uh....Citrinne has that sort of "petite but mature" look about her which is kind off rare in anime style art so that I guess. And.........honestly that's it. All of the big booba characters are kind of a miss for me this time around. It's kind of crazy how much of a step down Engage is from 3h in terms of character design.
