I got to see these guys as an opening band. Saw them in 89? 90? at The Club 9:30 in NW DC - a premiere Punk club. they opened for 24/7 Spyz. Great show! Spent most of it in the Mosh Pit!

I think WTF is probably the most appropriate response to Primus 🤣 And I'm guessing Les would be very happy for his music to bring out our immature sides. One of the best/worst things I've heard is a channel that does Toad (from Mario games) doing vocal covers of songs like Chandelier by Sia - but at the same time my kids think its one of the funniest things they ever heard 🤣🤣

Ha ha ha ... boing b b boing :p . I like Shake Hands with Beef. It does not mean what the title indicates and it's one of Les's crunchiest riffs IMHO.

So ... this is the start of NittPiccs R rated reaction section? I am entertained :) . Jerry was a Racecar Driver was one of the few Primus songs that got actual airplay. Wynona and her Beaver were nominated for a Grammy in 1996. The costumes in that video are said to give people nightmares. I'm glad you enjoyed it and it never occurred to me, as many times as I have heard this song, to equate the guitar part to a screeching cat ... pretty astute. I am honestly always focused on Les's bass during a Primus song. There are only a couple Primus songs that got airplay. This, sadly, is not one of them so I guess you could call it a deep track ... but probably the most popular deep track as nearly everyone knows it. Songs like Mr. Krinkle, Shake Hands with Beef, and Lacquer Head (which was stupidly banned from Mtv for being a pro-drug song when it was actually an anti drug song - the main character dies from an overdose). If you had to sum up Primus in a single word it would probably be "misunderstood". I am glad you had at least some exposure to the band making this a little less shocking and more enjoyable. You get a lot of crap from people expecting you to know every band/artist that ever recorded a note. You have my endorsement to punch every one of them. The first time I ever heard Primus was when Beavis and Butthead watched the video for "My Name Is Mud". 🤣 I can't believe you didn't do a collab w/ Jacen.
