Future of Bottom Heavy - What should be the focus?
🕑 Added 2022-12-15 04:06:19 +0000 UTCLately I've been thinking of switching the order of the characters that I should work next...
What I mean is that there could be a case where I release a new mod but people have no chance or miss the opportunity to play with them simply because they don't have that character, at the end, Genshit is still a gacha and waiting for the next re-roll(s) would be painful, you get the drill.
But of course, there are people who do have the characters I create the mods for, there's even the chance to play on private servers and get access to ALL characters without spending time or money.
Just so you know, my current objective for the mods has been and still is "Just do every girl..." "...but go with the favorites first", changing that last part will be decided by you guys, so what should be the focus?
Here are the plans I have so far:
- Keep working on "the Favorites"

- Work ONLY on what Patrons suggest and vote for (Like Eula!).
Next time, YOU guys will suggest characters.
- Focus on the Girls that get a banner/re-roll (when there is one ofc)
Kiiiinda solving what I mentioned above (?)
- Focus on 4* star Girls
Wish these weren't just "Easier to get" characters
- Work on whoever I get the mood for (MY favorites...?)
This... I'll do Heizou next if this wins, I ain't joking

The only way to make me do YOUR favorite character in a couple of days... I don't think this needs to be in the poll c:
($50 minimum, price increases depending on the amount of detail)
This poll could be shown to the public or my twitter but I EASILY assume most comments/feedback will be people requesting their favorite character ("just do X-character next") which becomes kinda irrelevant.
If you have some extra suggestions, comment them down below the poll!

I find quality of work drops when the passion isn't there... So I don't think you should really consider characters you don't like at all... I think a blend of what you like, and what the patrons want. Best way to blend that imo, is to list the top 5 you want to work on next, put them in a poll, and go from there. But also, if you have a really strong craving that wont win the poll, put aside time for that too.

As someone who wishes for a character that is both less demanded and unlikely to get another banner any time soon, that commission option is a very real and tempting possibility lol

I chose the "Work only on what Patrons suggest" option, but I think you should also do what makes you happy. With that being said, I think your focus should be on the characters your supporters choose. You should feel free to work on your favorites whenever you want a change of pace. Maybe do a "One for you, one for me" system where you first work on a supporter chosen character, then you work on one you like, and so on. Either way, glad you asked; most creators don't really care. but be aware of course that your supporters will be biased in what they choose, haha
