It does make sense that people would end up loving David more because they do get so much more time with him. (I think it's three series, but I'm not 100% sure and I don't want to be. lol)

i know everyone is saying you’ll love david even more than chris, nine is my favourite ever since the start. that doesn’t make ten or future regenerations unenjoyable!

Just from my experience I have noticed those who love Eccleston end up loving David Tenant even more. It might be down to just getting to know him for a bit longer. Like all first loves though, I feel people always have a special place in their heart for their first Doctor. Mine was the 4th Doctor back in my childhood days watching re-runs of him in the weekends. I'm glad you were able to warm up to Jack a bit more, I feel he started to grow as a person so got more likeable as time went on.
