1. YES! I love sweet Doctor/Rose moments and will take all of them I can get. 2. YES!! I loved seeing her step up when the Doctor wasn't able to do so. 3. I completely agree. He was absolutely captivating! 4. YES! I still want to know the backstory of each one of them that was referenced by the beast. lol

I definitely prefer the moments that make you think or reveal something deeper about a character or the action moments. One of the great things about this story, though, was that it had a good amount of both.

God i LOVE this two parter!! and it's not my usual taste either!! I think the reasons why I love it are 1. The many moments between the Doctor and Rose that feel much more explicitly romantic ("Tell her... oh, she knows" gets me every time) 2. Rose taking charge and stepping into the Doctor's shoes (I just feel so proud!!) 3. The insights onto the Doctor's personal belief system through these quiet, subdued monologues that really let David Tennant shine as an actor 4. The well-fleshed-out side characters!!!! They aren't flat!!! They're genuinely interesting!!!!! From the Doctor's genuine joy at their "humanity" to the beast's personalized jabs at each individual I think this is genuinely my favorite episode when it comes to exploring Ten and Rose as a couple and easily top 5 when it comes to analyzing the Tenth Doctor specifically as a character :) <3

This two-parter is one of my favorite stories, because it dove into what people are willing to believe and why. And there were more than a few moments that revealed the Doctor's character. I do enjoy the action episodes with lots of running around, but I love ones like this that make me really think about other people and their motivations.
