I think season 2 did great set up work for season 3, so we get to dive right into certain storylines, like Dan and Naley. It's a continuation of the season 2 storyline but now we're on the other side. Dan did a lot of shit to a lot of people (Did u notice Jules, Whitey and Haley were included in the montage, so like 9 people total lol) in season 2 and because of that someone tried to kill him. Now we get to see him try to work that out. What happens next? Same for Naley. A lot went down with their marriage even before she left. Now she's back, didn't sign the papers and put back on her ring and he left town for High Flyers. What happens next? Btw, that Naley scene in his bedroom was my favorite Naley scenes of the past seasons. Great acting and the angst 😢. As far as Lucas and Brooke they were setup much later in season 2 but we are seeing that continue as well. This storyline for me is tough because of the Peyton aspect. Brooke is still so insecure about Lucas and Peyton, for obv reasons, so it's understandable the conditions she's putting on her relationship with Lucas. Lucas and Peyton sure aren't making it easy for her to get over her fear by being so friendly. I like the new things they set up as well. Brooke and Haley living together and Peyton's birth mother Ellie.
