Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart is a very important character in Old Who, whose actor sadly passed away shortly before this episode aired. That's why they mentioned him on the phone.

This is SO controversial. But I can't stand The Doctor and River together, I felt this finale was a disappointment and I hardly liked any season 6 episodes, it's second to last in my series list. 🙈 But I'm definitely excited for you to start season 7 because I like that way more, especially the second half.

Wooooooooo! This finale was so chaotic, so many narrative threads coming together and bouncing off each other. The handfasting was a nice touch, I can't imagine a more appropriate way the Doctor could be married. (Yes, I cried too.) Amy realizing that she's his mother-in-law will never not be hilarious to me. We now know the most important question that must never be answered. This one is so much fun! That said, I'm excited to see you start Series 7, because reasons.
