Thank you, Karen. I'm so glad you're finding the podcast comforting. We ALL need to feel less alone, I think. Hearing from you makes me feel less alone, too! Sending much love.

Karen Krajcer

Thank you for continuing to do this important work. It is always such a comfort to hear your voice and to know that we are not alone. Other parents of trans children and I want so badly to advocate and reach out to others, but it's difficult to know how to help trans kids (and their families) without putting them at risk by exposing their identity. You have found a way to make this work. Looking forward to the book.

Thank you, Lorna. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing the negative impacts of others' ignorance. Wishing you all the support YOU deserve! And I'm (cautiously) hopeful about my daughter's school. I've had some promising conversations with them in recent weeks... (Fingers crossed!)

Thank you, Chloe!

Thank you, Scott! I'm really excited about the book, too. It is a chance to really tell our whole story, in a much fuller, more cohesive way.

Lorna

I was so glad to see there was another post from you. I have been wondering how you all were. I was really angry to hear how the other mum treated you. I believe your feelings of anger and fear for your daughter’s safety in general, were absolutely appropriate and understandable. What to do when someone doesn’t realise their privilege is a big question. It isn’t up to a marginalised group in society to educate others. It’s even more complex when you are doing this for your daughter because she’s a young person, so cannot do this for herself. As someone with invisible disabilities, I experience being blamed for someone else’s ignorance a lot. I really look forward to your audio book. I hope you get better support from your daughter’s school. You both deserve it.

Thank you for giving and sharing so much of yourselves and your story on this podcast. I learn so much every episode. I hope I will never be that Mom you described, but the graceful fighter Mom that you are for your daughter. Can’t wait for the audiobook.

Me, this morning: "Oh, yay! A HTBAG podcast update!" (Five minutes in...) Me: "Oh, dear." However: I also can't wait for the audiobook. I've been putting off signing up for Audible, but this may be the push.

I 2nd what Marijn said about the Mom. I was fuming. The gravity of what was revealed is beyond what they understand.

Marijn van der Waa

Thank you for this new episode. Hearing about that mom made my blood boil. I think you managed to tell this story in an incredibly balanced way. Hang in there. xxxxx

Marlo Mack

Thank you all for hanging in there with me!

Marlo Mack

Thank you, Ariodne!

So good to hear both your voices again. An upcoming audio-book, you say? Looking forward to it!

I'm so glad you're back and that everything is ok.

Ariodne Lewis

I’m so glad you and your family are doing well. I joined just as you took the hiatus and was worried something had happened. I absolutely love your journal-esque narrative style. Thank for sharing your journey with us
