This particular part of your experience really challenged me because, even as a trans person, I really believed that the rigidity of the gender binary was the issue, and that if we were able to deconstruct gender, maybe we wouldn't all feel the need to transition. But hearing how you raised your daughter without gendering her toys and clothes, and with the knowledge that she absolutely could be a boy who liked princess things, and that she still knew herself to be a girl...well, that pushed me to rethink my position, which has made me a more understanding friend and partner to the other trans people in my life. So thank you again for sharing yours and your daughter's experience 💙🏳️⚧️ xx
