Classic Who Rewatch Poll
🕑 Added 2025-01-09 04:35:30 +0000 UTCWe're coming up on our first story that I previously skipped ahead to (Genesis of the Daleks) and we've got two more stories I've already seen coming up in season 13.
I know some people would like me to rewatch them because they feel I'll get more out of them the second time around since I'll have context for all the characters and what's going on.
I also know some people don't like to watch rewatches, and it would mean skipping the videos for a few weeks.
I can understand both viewpoints. Each option has positives and negatives.
So, I'm leaving this decision up to all of you. How would you like me to handle this ...
Option 1 = Skip: I'll rewatch my thoughts segment for each episode and read a story synopsis to refresh my memory, but the reactions will jump from the story before it to the story after it.
Using Genesis of the Daleks as an example, I would record the reaction for episode 12x10 and then the next reaction would be for episode 12x17.
I, unfortunately, don't have the room in my schedule to rewatch the full episodes/stories on my own time.
Option 2 = Rewatch: I'll proceed as usual, rewatching all the stories I've already seen as they come up in the schedule.
Whichever option gets the most votes by the time the poll ends on Saturday at 10pm EST, is what we'll do.

Thanks for this! Actually, the rewatch would be less work. I would just be watching the episodes as usual and wouldn't need to look ahead and in the episode list in order to plan for which episodes would be skipped. Skipping would be a little more work, because I would need to pay closer attention to the episode list and then review my thoughts for each episode and read summaries for the stories.

Thanks for putting up the poll. I realise if the rewatch option wins it just means more work for you piled on top of the craziness going on, and I apologize for that, but I truly do believe that's the way to go to get the most out of these stories and characters. It's 50/50 right now, interested to see which way it goes!
