HI Elijah - number 2 is a dandelion. Number 1 is a catsear, a close relative of dandelions.

Is this a trick where the thing we normally call a dandelion (#2) is not actually a dandelion? I don't know whats going on on the inside of #1 but it looks like there is a are a lot more fibers and structures within the sphere. I'll vote #1 just to be edgy.
