Now, I need your help and feedback!
Attached is a Pico-8 cart with a set of custom instruments. In the video above, I show you how to use it (mostly with button mashing). With this process, it's possible to start a composition and assemble a handful of music patterns in a few minutes. Let me know what you think!
Some questions to consider:
- Is this a good/easier way to start a music composition (particularly for users with minimal music experience)?
- Do you like the variation in custom instruments (drums, melody, bass)?
- How would you improve this process?
- Is there a better name for this besides “Music Machine?”
