Imagine your parents are each half Puerto Rican - they each have a Puerto Rican mother and a non-Puerto Rican father. And it turns out that your parents half-siblings of one another (they both have the same father). In that situation, it could be argued that you only have three grandparents, and two of them are Puerto Rican. Therefore you're two-thirds Puerto Rican. But for some reason people only talk about the fact that you're inbred!
