I've heard people say that quantum computers can do calculations faster because the superposition allows multiple calculations in parallel. Is this a good description and can you give an example of how this works?

Q: Did you have a hand in putting together the Brilliant course on quantum computing? I thought it was so well done the way the simulations were incorporated into each section that I splurged on a subscription.
