March 2023 Future Anime Series Poll
🕑 Added 2023-03-01 17:00:06 +0000 UTCHaikyuu will be finishing soon, hopefully during this poll's life cycle. The replacement of which is already decided and will start soon. This poll will determine the series that comes after the Haikyuu replacement in Slot 4 of my rotation. As it goes, that slot is for series in the range of 30-120 episodes, so all of these options will be at least 30 episodes long (or sub-30 if a film/films, OVA's, or shorts push it over or right at the threshold), and will not extend over 120 episodes. The poll will conclude at Midnight PST as March 31st turns to April 1st. Hope you're interested in one or more options, and this will be a poll in which you can vote for one show, or as many shows as you'd like as the information of what polls well is always welcome, beyond just what wins. This is a first place poll only however, so the only guaranteed spot is for the winner to follow the series that's following Haikyuu. Haikyuu - ??? - Poll Winner if it wasn't clear enough.

Mr. Shark, if at some point you ever check Patreon / decide to do another poll, I think you would like Mushoku Tensei. It's the grandfather of most isekai tropes, but does them right, with a main character who makes you feel uncomfortable not by accident, but by design. It's a redemption story, a coming-of-age story, and it's peak fiction, especially when/if Season 3 comes out. (We're on Season 2 with another cour coming in April.)

Dub is a whole different experience from the original version though. I think he should just watch it in sub on the channel and maybe dub on the side to get the best of both.

Dragon maid is such a feel good cozy anime, but love is war is just so hectic, fun and funny tho I would very much reccomend the dub i feel its way better simply because of how on crack the narrator is most of the time its an experience

Woah, I had kinda given up on getting a kaguya reaction on this channel any time soon. With that, my main wishlist is completely done...wow. While the dub is great, it's mainly a great experience for a rewatch where you want a completely different experience from the first time. For the first time, I do recommend just watching the sub and watch the dubbed episodes on your own

I recommend watching Baccano! before Durarara!!, the stories aren't connected, but there is one moment in Durarara!! that would be weird without you having seen Baccano!. Baccano! is only 16 episodes, so I feel it is exeptable to do so, as it seems Durarara!! is not winning this poll anyway. Also Baccano! is just really good in the first place, arguably better than Durarara!!.

If Kaguya wins, i would recommend to watch it in sub. Although the dub version is good, Kaguyas VA in OV is one of the best performances i've ever watched in an anime.

It's clear it won't win but Durarara would be one of the best rides for someone like Shark , and GTO is god, but it will never win in popularity polls, it's old anime :/

I really think Shark would enjoy Bungo as it has a lot of what I enjoy about Steins;Gate, I think the characters are all really good, the story is very intriguing and it's very easy to get into but also has a complex plot. Also it has really interesting details like how every character is named after a classic literary writer. It's a shame how it's gone under appreciated in the west.

I want to vote for Durarara but I think I would recommend watching Baccano first (Another series by the same creator that I know is on your MAL). It's not a big deal but there are some in-jokes that you'll only understand if you watch Baccano first.

Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if any of these win. Bakuman has been on my watch list forever, same with Bungo Stray Dogs, Fruits Basket, GTO, and Haruhi, so them winning might be the push for me to get off my ass and check them out. Durarara might be my favorite anime of all time, but for now I'm not getting my hopes up. That being said, Kaguya is great. I don't think I've ever heard of Mushishi until now, but it sounds interesting looking at the synopsis. Nana is an anime ive heard of, but just isn't really my cup of tea, but I have heard lots of great things about it. As For Dragon Maid, I have nothing against it personally, but I was never too crazy for the "cute girls doing cute things" thing. Not to say I don't like slice of life though
