Peek: Christmas Special

in a certain odd dungeon, a plot's going down.
In the middle of winter, a season of drear,
he feels what it needs is some good Christmas cheer!
He summons his scions, arbiters of his will,
and deep in the Sanctum, his plan he did spill.
With the season of coldness, there's two issues I take.
One with the chill, and one of some cake.
Of the frost and the snow, the people can deal,
but what of a warm and sweet end of a meal?
But even if we make sure a sweet repast is had,
what if they can't eat it before it goes bad?
The scions pondered the difficult query,
but in typical Thedeim fashion the answer was very
different from what most would have thought,
with a classic confection, though those here know it not.
On Poe, Leo, Honey, to gather what's needed!
On Poppy, Titania, the fruits that you've seeded!
On Jello and Nova, for ovens and heat!
On Rocky, Slash, Fluffles, preparation's complete!
The scions work smoothly, used to the strange race,
even Goldilocks and Zorro adjusting to the pace.
Those who aren't cooking do work on a sleigh.
A gift such as this is delivered one way.
The scent of the cooking is easily deflected
to the nearby bakery, so well respected.
The plan comes together with only one flaw:
The Great Stag refused to pull the sleigh. Aw.
With his affinity, he could light more than his nose,
but he wants no part of this, that's just how it goes.
In his defense, the plan was last-minute,
so I can hardly demand that he be in it.
But with Poe and the Quartermaster, the sleigh can still fly,
even if there won't be a lightshow in the sky.
So as the sun sets and the town's day is done,
The scions all gather, the mission begun.
The gifts are all loaded, Teemo and Fluffles ready,
the large birds take off, their altitude steady.
They fly o'er the town, delivery route planned,
with shortcuts to help telekinesis' hand.
Packages down the chimneys land safe on the brick
of the hearths of the homes, a rather neat trick.
There's no stopping or slowing, the dawn doesn't wait,
though a scion with time affinity'd be great.
The mission goes smoothly, and when night is done,
the deliveries are finished, every last one.
As the sun rises, there's one final thing,
so the ravens and crows all take to wing.
They spread through the city and make such a clatter
that all the townsfolk must see what's the matter.
A cacophonous cheer from each beak is what made them wake:
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all some fruitcake!"

A Christmas special! I love it, I love how confusing this must be for the town, I love the refusal of the Stag but the involvement of all the Scions.... I love the rhymes , I love the atmosphere... I love it!

My grandpa always said there was actually only ever one fruitcake. People just re-gifted it over and over to the point that everyone had it. But nobody ever ate it.
