January was a good month, the work has been going very well. Not fast enough to recover the lost time at the end of last year, but still a pretty good pace with results that I'm rather happy with. The bad news is that I scrapped the cheating branch on the last scene of the update. It wasn't working, and I decided instead of trying to fix it, I'd rather just remove it and put something else on its place. So in the next days I'll release a BETA version of the update, that will not contain the cheating branch during the last scene. I will add that one later. This means that sadly the update will have very little content on the straight cheating path (Jessica cheating with men). I usually try to have something for every playthrough style, but this time it didn't work out. Basically there will be lesbian and faithful content in the update, but next to no straight cheating events. I'm trying to be vague, because I don't like spoiling things, but I thought you should know it in this case.
I have just several more images to finish for the BETA, as well as some final writing and editing with Amanda. Then I'll have to put it all in RenPy and it's ready (well, BETA ready).
As always I'll send the update with messages to all patrons from January (and those from December), as soon as their respective tiers get it. So if you don't want to support me next month, you can cancel your pledge without worrying that you won't get the update.
All in all, it's a good start of the new year. Here's hoping it continues throughout 2022.

Story for the cheating path is so predictable β¦ you have talent Stoper but you have to use it β¦ is a little bit disapointing this update β¦ no hard feelings

If the updates would be in a more regular and faster interval yes. I always switched to 25 USD in the month where a new update arrived. But that times are already over, we will see what the future has in store for us.

The reason devs do estimates is because most people want a general idea of how long it will take. But things happen, life happens and it isn't like any dev owe anyone anything when it comes to producing content. As a patron you're either fine with the pace of development, or you're not. If you aren't then it's easy enough to stop supporting the dev. No reason to throw a tantrum however. Isn't like Stoper is making an effort to disappoint anyone.

In my mind Jessica looks at her cheating with women as less of a betrayal. And also as something more playful. She's starting to realize it's more serious than that, but it still feels like she'll be hurting Conner less if she's with a woman. Cheating with another man is more direct.

That was the correct decision, johns biggest selling point is its well thought out and realistic slowburn, if you thought it wasn't right and felt forced then it wouldn't have felt natural either way.

I too wondered because I felt that the cheating seemed to fit her evolution as a character and a woman if, as I have, one has been having her take advantage of opportunities to explore sex with other people. It's not the only path I have explored, but it is one that I want to see continued, if not now then later. There is no ethical difference between cheating with a woman and cheating with another man.

It didn't fit with Jessica's progress at this point. I was shoving it in just to have a cheating branch in the update, because I know most people care about that path the most. But it felt forced and out of place. I will use the idea later in the game, and when that happens I'll write about it. For those who are interested why it was removed from this update.

Speaking strictly for me: the faithful path at fundraising event was the best damn scene in the whole game .... so Iβm perfectly ok with this beta.

I'm happy that you are deciding to make the right choice for quality rather than rush to give something. I am hoping that you play a little trick on your next update where a route starts like it will be another Vanilla encounter but then Hubby gets called away for work so Mr. Parker can come in and save the day :)
