Just joined, so apologize if I'm out of left field. I was just watching the Simon Whisler side projects about 6 or 7 ways earth might go through another extinction. Made me think about something I have heard before (maybe here?) about what would be left of humans. I think it's interesting backwards thought experiment. We know what we're like, but what would survive buried for millions of years, and then what would it tell the future about us as it's dug up. Reverse dino bones walk through. Just a thought. If I have to vote, I vote for mentoring one below.

Loving a bit of Bose-Einstein Condensates, memories of being the only kid at school to know about “plasma” — do we call these a “state” or a “phase”? My school teachers in the 1970s and 80s said “state”, but most of my life on the internet was “phase” in the 2000s and 2010s. But since the 2020s I notice it’s “states of matter” again.

Hope you’re doing well too! I’m an undergrad getting a degree in Chemistry and just wanted to say thanks for your content. It wasn’t too long ago I was in an associate’s degree nursing program, and you talking about how you took the plunge into physics motivated me to explore my interest in STEM further despite my real lack of preparation or exposure to any previous formal STEM education.
