Now, as we're drawing in to the end of 2023, I want to give my proper greetings. I was planning to do one prior to xmas, as per usual, but this year ended up slightly special, so were unable to. My apologies.
I will start here by wishing special good wishes on the civilian population of Ukraine, Israel and Palestine, and civilians in opposition to war in Russia. My heart goes out to civilians trapped in crossfires, either literally or politically. I don't care about your political alignment, religion or anything, my heart aches for the pain being felt during this turbulence, and my wish is that nobody ever needs to feel that pain, unrealistic as it is.
Unfortunately, we've clearly landed in unfortunate times, when we ought really be celebrating overcoming the Pandemic, and it saddens me that we've managed to turn what ought to be a time of recovery and celebration into yet another time for the flames of war. It's my prayer for the coming year that we se no escalation, and instead see the promised celebration return. Unfortunately this is but a prayer, which I fear I need to repeat a few times before it comes true, but I would love to be proven wrong on this one.
Special thought are also given to those that struggle through what has been dubbed the "Loneliness Pandemic" (Western answer to the JP NEET thing for those not up to date on silly branding of serious societal problems). I once counted myself among your number, and I know it's hard, especially the latter half of December. I do hope you have managed to enjoy the holidays though, and if not, that the new year will usher in the willpower and good luck to make 2024 better.
I had planned to go off the deep end here about the horrible mistreatment of Nemlei, the creator of "The Coffin of Andy and Leyley" (Really well written game, everyone go buy it to give these people the middle finger: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2378900/The_Coffin_of_Andy_and_Leyley/), and the modern book-burners, that is the lowlifes calling for the cancellation of all media they see as problematic, but decided against it, as I'm rather too busy to write a book on the topic. I'll condense it down to stating my utter respect for Nemlei and utter disgust for his/her critics, you lot have the blood of real people on your hands.
Nemlei, You made something great, and I'm very much looking forward to the continuation! Don't let these lowlifes push you down. I stand in respect of your handling of the situation. and mad respect for the "deal with it" image.

Now then, with all that out of the way...
The past period has been... a thing for my part. After my body slapped me and said that I should calm my tits, I haven't really let up as much as I ought to, and need to actively catch myself and ensure I don't make shit worse. Dw, taken to reading Mushoku Tensei, that should force me away from work for at least an hour or two a day.
If you look back on my patreon, this seems at odds with reality though... it seems as though I abruptly stopped doing much of anything at that point. This is of course due to the ever mentioned "project railgun" that I've been hinting at for the better part of 2 years now. Good news on that front, it is now in the final process before I can discuss it publicly, so with any luck, my next post will be about that, and I hope that explains my lackluster output of late. I pray that you all will love it when it comes, and understand how much work has gotten into getting that project to the point it is at now.
Currently pending approval from a 3rd party... even if it's denied at that point I have a failback plan, which means that, no matter what, announcement is nigh. 2024 will be a marked year in my life, no matter the outcome, so stay tuned.

Get better physically, and focus on what we can control. We always go mad if we always pay attention to the worst things going on in the world 24/7. On the other hand, I very much look forward to what Project Railgun is all about! Lets have next year be a great year!

I will keep praying that it will get better, no matter the current outlook. If everyone can do their little part, be it to people in their life, or standing up against injustice they encounter, a lot can be done. I'll place my hope in that, and looking to be the change I want to see. If that fails to have any appreciable effect, so be it, but someone has to walk in the right direction, else nothing will ever get better.

Don't want to be a downer and I HATE to get political, but I don't see things getting better. In fact I see thing getting WORSE seeing as how 2024 is an ELECTION YEAR, and remember how bad things were in 2020
