PERO SUJIERO QUE NO IMPORTA EN REALIDAD NUESTRAS OPINIONES DE ESO YA QUE AL FINAL TU TIENES LA ÚLTIMA PALABRA

for MMD it is much more efficient and better results to use dance motions for dancing. it's a dance program after all. MMD (the program itself, not things like Blender) however can't handle liquid at all. So things like cumshots become possible with AI. You can't make it placeholder, because you can't do it at all in the software to begin with. If that makes sense? For VaM i don't think AI will be needed. The issue mainly there is producing videos with a decent frame rate, ie. not lagging. I talk about unethically sourced training in the written version here and on the website that goes into more detail. And I agree with you. I don't think AI will be necessary for 2D character static images itself, though ttrop has mentioned to me several times he is fine with it. He also draws stuff for his own patreon, and he is working on a sfw stuff under a different alias. But as an artist myself, I don't really feel comfortable writing ttrop out of the equation. Like how some people like riding horses, there will be people who appreciate and understand the original process of everything. Plus I've worked with the guy for like 10 years now. However for backgrounds this is much harder to avoid. I've always had slow downs trying to find the right backgrounds. a floor view or bed view for an h-animation, or a science lab or whatever. Specifically what I'm looking for just doesn't seem to exist, or I can't find what I need. This will likely be the most common use. AI allows for fully animated videos with lip sync to become possible also. One i make a follow up post with examples, it should make more sense.

My thing is I don't think you should switch exclusively to AI, but as a supplemental tool for stuff like placeholders in early versions of games, doing original songs/vocals for MMD/VAM videos, or to make additional videos/images/animations alongside the "actual stuff", or for minor things in full versions of games I think it's totally fine. But I'd hate to see you become entirely an AI content creator over your stuff like VAM/MMD etc. So if it's going to get us more content and smooth out development sure, but definitely limit the scope of how much you implement it. There's also the can of worms of a lot of training data is to be brutally honest just unethically sourced. That's where a lot of the anti-ai sentiment comes from is a lot of AI models are just using art definitely without compensating artists, usually without artists even knowing the model is being trained. So as an example if you worked with ttrop to make a ttrop ai model for use in placeholders and early revisions of games until they could supply the "actual art" that'd be perfectly fine imo and I feel most people would be fine with that.

it's pretty much where I'm at, and where ttrop is at also. In general we are really trying not to get left in the dust by completely avoiding it.

In my opinion, AI is merely a tool, where the ethics are in HOW they are used, rather than its usage in itself. And while I think outright replacing artists with AI is unacceptable, merely using as a supplement to make artists' jobs easier is perfectly fine.
