particle collisions in Touchdesigner
🕑 Added 2023-02-19 18:28:14 +0000 UTC[.toe file] this is a special tutorial for my 46th birthday in which I share with you my solving collisions method for a set of particles. The method used here has something in common with the 'plexus' tutorial from a while ago. I really hope you like this.

hi, i followed your tutorial twice, step by step, in detail, but for some reason, at some point during the process, my particles start to fly all over as the image begins to form, losing the shape and visual of the photo. I subscribed as member to support and to also get your .toe and upon starting up, the particles where flying everywhere and couldn't recognize the default image of the flower. Do you think this is due to TD's latest version? Did something break? Thank you, I really want to implement this.

hi James, sorry for the late response. The problem you mention is there as it was not taken care of for this tutorial. In order to not get clusters at the edges you need to implement some kind of collision with boundaries. I have a tut on that also ...I believe is the 'custom limit in Touchdesigner' tutorial in tier 2 'play'. Thank you massive for your support.

hi paketa12, thanks for the tutorial! having a little trouble/confusion with the project file as you've made available, the particles expand from the centre and there is some collision but they do not appear to exclude one another all of the time and end up bunched together on the boundary of the rectangle. https://imgur.com/a/J5dYD53 which parameters should i play with to try and fix this?
