I also have this arc as my favorite arc! I was jaw dropped every single episode. You are super lucky that you didnt have to wait one week between each ep!

Ok one thing cause I am sure there wont be anything about it in future eps. Genya can gain temporirly demonic power by eating them. He outright explained it in last episode (around the end of ep) But yeah Insane season. Show really surprised me by not killing anyone of demon slayers. <3

Just wanted to add that yes Tanjiro has definitely become much much stronger in such a short time but also he was fighting the weaker part of Hantengu. Mitsuri was actually fighting Zohakuten (the one with the drums) all the way until day break, by herself ! And Zohakuten is definitely the strongest emotion of Hantengu and therefore has the best speed, strength, durability, regeneration ability, etc. So yes, while Tanjiro did technically behead upper 4, it's only because he split his body and majority of the power was being used to fight Mitsuri. So with that info you can sort of put together that while Tanjiro is extremely capable, he's still not on the same level as Mitsuri and Muichiro. Not quite a Hashira just yet, but he's getting there though, forsure !

upper 5 didnt get a backstory because only tanjiro tries to empathize with demons or feel an emotional conenction to them. even hentengu, tanjiro felt emotions of justice and anger towards him , not compassion, but it was still emotion... unlike mist hashira who not only roasted him figuratively but slice and diced him to sheesh kabab style and charbroiled him with zero Fs given lol

Also don't forget Urokodaki from season 1 (Tanjiro and Giyu master) put a spell on Nezuko to see all humans as her family

Thats kinda what I meant. I was trying to say the reason why he was having a panic attack. Like you said everyone's life has value but tanjiro invested the most in Nezuko but he also knows he has to save the humans first.

It wasn't about being a demon slayer, for Tanjiro everyone's life's has equal value. The same way he would die to save his sister is the same way he would die to save a stranger. For him that was mental hell. lol

We all wanted Tanjiro to ignore the swordsmiths for Nezuko but they are both Demon Slayers they have no choice but to protect humans but like any big bro it would be hard to let your little sister die especially when you only became a demon slayer to save Nezuko.

As a person with severe ADHD and chronic panic/anxiety attacks, I hated every single second of how accurate tanjiro's decision paralysis and panic attack was... it did not need to be this accurate of freezing, he didnt even make a choice one way or other, he just froze and both nezuko and the swordsmiths would have died out of that if nezuko didn't literally give him a "nudge" ... -- so now that this season is over, feel free to read this whenever you want, i think i only covered non spoilers here, only the "implied consequences" : I love how you yell that you should save nezuko, and while that IS emotionally understandable, but if you think about it : had nezuko not attempted to sacrifice herself by making tanjiro save the demons, here is what would happened: - The swordssmiths die. Sure, you may say "Whatever, they're red shirts" but if they die and hantengu becomes strong and escapes, then - love hashira definitely dies if tanjiro was late by ONE more second trying to protect nezuko instead of killing upper 4. - Giyu Tomiyoka, Urokudaki AND Nezuko AND tanjiro would ALL be killed (or at least, forced sepuku/suicide), because the demon nezuko would have caused the deah of humans and tanjiro failed to uphold his duty by prioritizing a demon over humans. - If hentengu gets away, he can report to to muzan on the location of the swordsmiths now and they would be immediately ALL killed before they can move to next hidden location. Even if muzan can see some stuff or read the demon's minds and emotions etc from hentengu, the Master was deliberate in making sure that the swordsmith village is hidden in a small inconspicuous mountain like any other... so unless Muzan is a professional Geo-Guesser, then he wouldnt be able to find this unique specific village unless hentengu left the village and reported his traced steps... because hentengu just showed up here where upper moon 5 went. - It's implied btw that upper moon 5 only found out that he knew where the village is because of his specific powers, he would just create a bunch of vases, sell them over and over everywhere until one of the vases was bought by a swordsmith unbeknownst to them, and then got it into the village. Genya just eats demons and somehow doesnt get sick but instead gains demonic attributes temporarily. he's not a demon. any other demon slayer might have the equivalent of food poisoning. Upper body 4 was basically tapping into his reserves wihle hiding inside the heart of his "fake body". think of the fake body like a literal meat shield. it was disintegrating but upper moon 4 was tapping into all his regeneration (including from zohakuten, his merged form fighting mitsuri) to keep himself "regenerating his meat shield" that's burning very fast, but he's upper 4 so he was regereating as fast as he could before he could die. he's not immune to sun light, but he's just delaying the inveitable until he eats the humans and runs off. But now this is just a theory of observation, a fun fact, but has nothing to do wtih the plot itself, just an anime gimmick: if you line up Genya against the main trio, this is mostly just a funny thing people noticed at this point but yeah: - Tanjiro: sense of smell. - Inosuke: sense of touch. - Zenitsu: sense of hearing. - Genya: sense of taste. ...

I don’t understand the response but okay. You said you didn’t get why Nezuko is special but she didn’t conquer the sun because she’s special was all that I was saying. In demon slayer universe: demons get stronger and change when consuming blood. Nezuko sleeps instead of that so when she sleeps she is getting stronger and changing. Nezuko dedicated all of her mental capacity and strength from the very beginning to change to become resistant to the sun. This is why she was mentally a child and couldnt talk. That dedication allowed it to happen. It’s pretty cool imo

They did a really good job showing Tanjiro having a panic attack honestly. And yeah I don't know what makes Nezuko special either 🤷🏽 but I have noticed Tanjiro has Sun Breathing which is incredibly Rare, and Nezuko just conquered the Sun? Is there something special about his family and a connection to the Sun? So many questions still

M&D went through all types of emotions this episode XDddd The Nezuko montage was the meanest thing the animators could do to us. 🤡 Upper 5 was ignored by Tokito, and the animators. They didn't even bother to give him a backstory 🤣 Also, Tanjiro had to save the villagers. If he protected Nezuko (a demon) then he'd put a demon before humans. Which means death to him, Giyuu, Urokodaki and Nezuko. You need to watch the ED song too 😭 off camera is fine ofc.
