Sync Guidelines
Videos are edited in watch-along style format, so you will need your own copy of the film/show to sync with us.

Pausing and Playing: Due to the length of the movie, we may have taken a couple of pauses/breaks. This means you may need to sync up your copy of the movie/show again. We will give a verbal countdown such as "3, 2, 1... Start." You should click "start" on your copy of the show to sync again. We tried to minimize any cuts/pauses but just in case you need to re-sync, you can follow the subtitles from the video and sync with your copy.
Dual Monitor Setup: Utilize a dual monitor PC setup for simultaneous viewing of both screens.
Split Screen Viewing: Employ the split-screen function on your device to watch the reaction and your show/movie side by side.
Connectivity Options: Consider Chromecast/screen-sharing or HDMI connection to a TV, allowing for a larger display of one screen while using another device for the reaction video.

The whole episode is an alternative reality she imagined back in S1x7 to cope with the fact that Eren died. There are so many hints and contradictions that have proven that it is not the past but an entirely new reality. The most obvious one is that the day Mikasa's parents died repeated itself, however, the second time, instead of burglars knocking on the door, it was Doctor Jaegar. Then the whole sequence of events changes accordingly.

It's the first time watching this OVA for me too, but it seems pretty clear she made all of this alternate reality in her mind as a way to cope Eren being "dead" when he saved armin from being eaten in S1, although the events she tried to avoid still happened, and Eren ended up dying. Also, that mirror man seems like a metaphor for her older self trying to get her to come back to reality (IMO). Anyways, don't look too much into this as it's an OVA, and even if it's canon it all seems way too metaphorical
