AoT first watch vs rewatches is a COMPLETELY different experience. I think i'm nearing my 200th watch now, and i STILL find new surprises and tidbits in this masterpiece! Glad to have you on board. 31:00 armin was saying that when they were "presenting" their gear for "inspection" (after the 2 caught lab rat titans were executed to suppress knowledge and hinder their progress), when they were inspecting the maneouver gear to see if it has been used recently and there was a risk of them accusing her of killing the sonny and bean titans (which she did) So to avoid that, Annie didn't present her own gear but Marco's gear, because if she presented her own gear, they'd have seen that it was used recently, but marco's gear hasn't been used in a minute (arguably since marco died off-screen), and so armin was curious and subconsciousling feeling "something isn't right" when he saw that but he kept giving her the benefit of the doubt until he bumped into the female titan. And we know he knew it was annie back then because he yelled out to jean/reiner to "avenge the suicidal maniac because she stomped on him" (aka annie's nickname to eren, she even said it in this very episode) and when he yelled that out outside the wall, the female titan FLINCHED, implying she understood that statement, and armin's suspicions got confirmed because it caught her off guard. That's also what armin was going to tell reiner/jean to tell Erwin if armin had to be left behind due to lack of horses (before what's her name Chrysta showed up with the spare horse). So armin's been sitting on that knowledge for a while until they were able to get back inside the walls and then he shared that knowledge and the trap to get her was set into motion. So yeah, Armin's hella perceptive and smart! And as for Eren, it can be seen both ways, but i personally think Meesh is right that it looked like Eren was coping and pleading for Annie to prove herself innocent by going into the underground alley, whereas Mikasa and Armin were still playing the deception check against her, to hide their plans.
