Patreon isn't great with sorting long term files. Check the activity feeds for those little paperclip corners. Here's the link for the game: https://www.patreon.com/creation?hid=1984031 the download links are right under the picture.

Techfire80

okay, I can't seem to find the download links anywhere

Thanks! I've actually been giving it some thought, and I might have a way to add some additional options without bloating the project too much. I need to test some things.

No objections to the green here. You just keep doing what you feel is right.

Well, the work involved on my end wouldn't be the largest part, I mean it'd take a little time to set up, but not a ridiculous amount. The problem is that the color of zero's skin plays a role in three different layers of this scene (as well as in other scenes), and needs to be checked constantly as the sprite renders. Each additional skin color would involve doubling the amount of conditional checks it would need to make at each phase. On my end, that's as simple as copying and pasting a bunch of stuff and tweaking a couple of numbers, but I'm concerned that it would make the game work harder each time. I'm really not sure how efficient the compositing process is, but I'd rather not push it if it can be helped. Now you will be able to rename the character. I call him Zero because that's the default, like Commander Shepard, but you'll have the opportunity to enter whatever name you like at the start, and you can have Rogue either call you by name or by a pet name. As for appearance, remember that in this world, you are a mutant. Just assume that you were born with whatever skin color you have now, but when your mutation appeared, your skin went green. The character is you, just a green you. ;) As for other colors, I considered blue, but we do already have Nightcrawler, Beast, and Mystique in that world, that's a lot of blue going around, and more blue might lead to confusion, you know? And white just doesn't contrast well with certain "fluids." I am more flexible on choosing one color that isn't green, and I'll try and figure out a way to more efficiently add in multiple color options though.

It would be extra work i know. But for me, i like to pretend the guy is me, and that's hard to do if i can't use my name (Though Zero is a cool X-men name so that's fine for me) or if he doesn't have my skin tone. But maybe this matters less for most of the patrons, and certainly i could accept a strange skin tone as a compromise. I think blue would be better (if a bit similar to nightcrawler) or even pure snowy white, which has a 'zero' feel to it. No colour.

Oni

Well, even having two different tones would require a whole bunch of additional condition checks in the sprite, a bunch of new sprite elements, artistically it wouldn't be that hard, but it would really bloat things up.

Mantel91

I agree with this

ALW

I am not sure about the green. Would it be too difficult to give us a colour palette for the player character to choose from? Just three or four separate skin tones?
