Rogue-Like 0.996 Patch Notes

I'll start with a very quick spoiler-free comment, and then get into some more spoilery stuff, so skip that if you want to go in blind.

This version will have some new content. You can access this content at any time by hitting "Special Menu" in your room, although it is only accessible in the evening (sunset). You'll get more out of it if you play it on a more "developed" playthrough, but you can do it on the second evening if you like, and can repeat it any time you want. Beyond that? Spoilers. I might suggest waiting a few days for bug testers to get to work on this, because I expect there will be at least a few bugs to work out in the early builds. New builds will come out frequently as necessary.

Ok, so the new content is a Halloween Party. I know, I know, I was being extra subtle about it and you're totally shocked now, but collect yourselves, we have work to do. So as for the party itself, it is an event you can launch from the player room special menu. I considered having this happen automatically like other events, but wanted to give players flexibility on when to launch it, and didn't want to have to reach some arbitrary calendar date. I also wanted to let people go through it more than once, so you can do it every evening if you like, but you only get stat effects during the intro on the first playthrough of each girl's scenes. You can't miss out on too much though, just a few points here and there, so don't stress.
Once the intros are out of the way, you'll be able to spend the time block chatting with the girls however you like, full sexual options and some other chatting options are disabled during the party (for now, at least), but most flirting still works. At the end of the evening, you can pick a girl to take home, although no guarantees as to what will happen there.
The other major inclusion is, of course, the costumes. These are added as full custom costume pieces, so once the party is over you'll be able to mix and match these options with their existing clothing.
I also did a few other tweaks here and there, one of which was updating Rogue's sprite to use a new head configuration. This is more of a behind the scenes thing that should not look significantly different to you, but it's worth noting. I also made some tweaks to Emma's TJ animation, and some other minor artwork tweaks, in the process of working on the costumes.
Things to test:
- Making sure the basic scenes work out, no typos, no errors, etc.
-Making sure that the new costumes work, no errors related to that, nothing that seems out of place or clips weird, or that you can't apply or take off where you think that should work.
-Making sure that stat bonuses are not applied on repeat play-throughs (you will see the little +- numbers floating up, but the actual values should not change).
-Making sure that you can't "break" the party by triggering sex scenes or other chaotic events that "escape" the scenario. You should be able to hit "leave" at any time, but there should be no other ways to reach other locations.
-Anything else I forgot to mention.

Seems you're referring to 'getting jumped'. Most of the girls did that in one of my save files and it started getting annoying, and you can talk to them about stopping. In my case, Laura was the only one I recall trying to initiate an act I hadn't performed with her (vaginal), the others only did it for the acts I most commonly performed with them. I don't know if it's impossible for the rest to initiate vaginal if you never did vaginal, but it did not happen for me.

This isn’t about this version exactly, but if you hold off having sex with the girls, they make comments like “only this?” About grinding. And then Laura initiated sex for the very first time between her and the player. Do/can any of the others do that, or do they wait for you to ask them first?

Possibly. I'm going to do a broader talk about this version in a week or two (I'd like as many people as possible to play a stable version before that), The short version is, this was a lot of work that had been going on in the background for a while, so. . . maybe not right away.

Yeah, I've fixed this. It was a bug with it accidentally hiding the option when she had her normal hair, when it should have been hiding it when she already had this cosplay look.

I have a few strange interactions with Rogue at the afterparty. If I choose to change view, it seems to revert back to the original full body view and then flicks back to the selected view. Primarily occurs with laying down and behind view. Also, on laying down if you are fondling her pussy, the hand and panty clipping is a bit strange.

So far, not a single error screen! I'm very impressed. I have noticed a single bug though. In order to access Rogue's Jill hair, you need to tell her to equip her wet hair first. Otherwise the option doesn't appear.

Ok, fixed. Just a display issue. It's a leftover from how normally you can only flirt once. Right now it's set to infinite flirting, but each attempt should take time off the clock, so different limiter. Let's see how that works out.

At the party when you talk to them, the girls all have two "Flirt with her" options and the first one is greyed out.

You'll see, describing it would be a bit pointless. nothing too drastic, or maybe even noticeable in Rogue's case, but it should streamline some things.

tbh. Not that i dislike this, but I think I'd overall would prefer "main game" stuff, like new "normal" outfits etc.

Well, we'll see. I did mess with some stuff. Was it a matter of it showing both her up and down arm poses at once or something?
A bug I did notice on a build previous to this. Somehow Kitty gains another sleeve on her pink overshirt. I'm not sure how that's gained but mess around by making outfits for her and have one of them be that pink overshirt and see if you can replicate that. It may have been corrected in your new update if you noticed it but just wanted to point it out just in case.
