It’s part of our culture of honesty and simplicity. There’s no need to hide or pretend to be something else. In the sauna, everyone is equal. Titles, roles, and appearances disappear with the clothes. It’s a space where you can just be 😊
For many Finns, that’s what makes the sauna so special. It’s not only about cleansing the body, but also about relaxing the mind and connecting with nature, with others, and with yourself 🇫🇮

I am totally comfortable being naked in the hot spa in winter and the pool in the summer Since public nudity is against the law in my state, makes for some research to find locations. I have friends all in the Nordic and st Petersburg everything is similar and I do want to try it out and visit friends.

Totally agree. We go to our local sauna once a month and everyone is naked there. This is pretty common in the Netherlands.

I have before depending on the time of day. In planet fitness they have one. YMCA too. It just depends on who is there.

I’m a nudist anyway, and go to nudist activities with friends all the time, so I’m very comfortable going in the sauna nude too. My friends and family (some of them) in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are all of Finnish or other Scandinavian descent and are usually tolerant of it as well.
