Great explanation! About the public beaches, are there nude beaches in Finland? And if so, are are saunas often placed next to them? In NL we have around 90 public nude beaches but no saunas, those are mostly placed in privately owned resorts and clubs etc.

I think you are right. One has to use some common sense. When I go to a sauna it has to be naked, if not I do not think it is wortwhile for me. Personal opinion.

As a lifelong naturist/nudist, there is a saying when considering other people... "It's best to naked where it's expected and where it's accepted." I agree with you that going to swim in a public area, a bathing suit may be called for. But that wouldn't prevent me from being nude in the privacy of the sauna. I enjoy nudity in the privacy of my home but when I answer the door or go out to get the mail, I get dressed because while my neighbors may accept it from me knowing that I'm a naturist/nudist, it doesn't mean that they are accepting of it and wouldn't be uncomfortable.

I mean, as a viewer, I dont mind if you dont wear anything. As you said it is what makes you comfortable! When I go into the sauna at the gym I wear a towel because I can't stand having whatever I wear to be completely soaked in sweat. AND I SWEAT lol.

My experience is an all male sauna, bathing suit optional. Now the private owned sauna's i used to frequent were all nude/towels available but everyone was nude. And they were men and women in them.

Agree 100% I act according to what is comfortable for me and people around. And this varies from situation to situation. I enjoy most when naked but want to be conciderate

I generally follow the Rules of the Place where I Go to Sauna. In Germany that Rules mostly say that you are not to wear Bathing Clothes. But generally this does not mean you have to be naked. You can wear a Towel to Cover your Body but you dont have to.

I agree except here, in America they do not view nudity the same in most places. It is seen as an offensive thing. Which is sad to a point. We came out nude to the world. I visited a colony, it was an eye opener. Less crime in these colonies where nudity is acceptable. It is healthy I feel to not see it as an offense. Just natural.
